When we were planning the trip the kid fell n love with some old Victorian home converted to an inn. Nothing here but a bed and a bathroom so I should have said no alcohol on premises.
Had a fun day trudging around downtown, plent of alcohol there

You need a new Travel Agent ... But FWI ... Many of the pubs in the North -East are bringing back the Growler ... That's where you bring in your own container and they fill it ...

Good luck and safe traveling. Weather is pretty harsh here - almost had to put on long pants earlier this week. Close to rough as where you live.

Donnie: Long Pants! You might even here my favorite phrase on the weather this evening "wind chill"!

As I tell the wife, "when we retire, "wind chill" is a term I only want to hear about happening in another location, not where we live. There is little chance of hearing the term on Maui or in San Diego".

BigMomma, that was Spazdad that was having trouble finding liquid nourishment. Stuck in a blizzard up that way, try this - where we were first trapped was in a hotel - that was having a seafood buffet - this was the blizzard they called the Manhattan blizzard a few years ago. The hotel folk said, "we are so sorry - our cooks cant get here - so all we have for you is this sea food and so - we are sorry". It was calamari, shrimp, scallops, lobster , various crab, it was just torture. I believe we were there a day - then we got a 4wd vehicle and made it from there to a friends home, this was the one with the endless (it seemed) wine cellar and the karioke machine. We had everything we needed - except musical talent. But it turns out, after several bottles of expensive wine, it really didnt matter.
