Regardless of whether or not they win every tournament, these teams consistently rank at the top of most tournaments. By DFW standards they have been, are, and will be the top 98 teams. Kids may move around but it's the same top players we're talking about here.

Pride does the best in the local tournies, Firecrackers do the best in the out of town tournaments, Fireballs always find a way to play deep on Sunday, Rhine by far is the most improved, & Allen is always solid. Any family that is a part of these 5 organizations should be proud of their accomplishments, win or lose.

I agree with you except I think you forgot about Glory Kyser and I heard that the Fireballs dis-banded, not sure about this but I bet someone on here can give us the skinny.

I bag on the Firecrackers but there is no denying they are a good team but I think I am not alone in saying their fans are a little more than annoying with the amount of bragging they do on HB BEFORE tournaments and the amount of backing up they do AFTER tournaments.

Or what the correct term is when your daughter gets looked at a showcase or big tournament and the head coach invites you to one of their camps or to a workout with other invitees and also gives you a tour of the campus? What are these called? These two are different? If you are invited isn't that a visit?

What is the correct terminalogy for these different invites?

I know if you go to a camp without an actual invite from the coach it is just that a camp and everybody can sign up for these.

Please advise.

Going to a camp is generally just going to a camp. I suppose it could technically be considered an "unofficial visit" but anyone can sign up and go, though there are normally age restrictions. Even when the school invites players to an invite only type of event, it's still normally an unofficial visit though it should be pretty obvious the school has some interest if they personally invite a player. So to answer your questions, getting looked at while playing in a showcase is called getting looked at while playing in a showcase. If a player is invited to go to a camp and pays her way to do so, the correct terminology is "unofficial visit."

I heard that about Fireballs also. I think Glory has pretty much the same team no? Great bunch of kids but not really on the same level as the others.

Thanks for the info! I checked out the American Freedom website and did a little digging myself and you are right looks like the Fireballs are American Freedom Meyers now. I also heard they picked up a pitcher to go with their lefty. Sounds like the best teams out there are only getting better and widening the distance between them and the other teams. i.e. FB, Allen, Rhine, Firecrakers, Pride. I was unaware that the Freedom had grown to such a level. Are they the new glory? I dont know if I have seen any of their teams play or if they are any good including the gold teams.
