1.) Because it's the Umpires fault, not Gods ...

2.) Either the receiver ran the wrong route, the OC called the wrong play or the OL let him get pressured ...

How could any of these things be Gods doing ... I mean, really ... He may move in mysterious ways, but he surely couldn't be rooting for the other team ...

* I did hear a country song recently, went something like " sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers "

Yea, when I hear people pray to beat the other team, I see God sitting in his easy chair - with his remote flipping between 20,000 games going on here, checking the roster , looking to see who prayed the most, adding it all up, then saying ' ok , its going to be the Cowboys this weekend --- oh wait, they still have Romo, nah'.

When Cowboy fans are yelling at the TV, they are mentioning God, but it's not in a prayer...

Not in ASA, Buster!!! That would be illegal substitution and that's against the rules!!! Duh again...

Ok I'll bite...who are they and how would they have reacted to this thread?

You would have to go back 10-12 years ago on the old original message boards, rec.sport.softball and fast pitch forum.

These were two of the most vile posters who would be ultra-offensive to posters in threads like this one. Really, really bad especially since there were no moderators back in the day.

Thanks for expanding on that, tcanizzo, I appreciate it.

I was one of the old timers that was on the original FPF. Gene wasnt that bad and then kind of went off his rocker. There was some crazy stuff that happened at the end. What ever happened to him and how do we know he isnt on here?

Who were you on FPF? Just askin'
Gene started off pretty good, but would denigrate to ad hominem attacks that were pretty disgusting. Especially about politics and religion. It would go down the rat hole pretty fast and very deep.
What happened to him was his daughter quit playing softball.
And believe me, if he he was here, we would know it.
