Thanks Bracky!

Long-term I think the Aztecs aren't the #2 team but you can't argue with what they accomplished in the fall. Good job!

Sota is the clear #1. The team is loaded with talent.

FC Brashear continues to lose good players. They look a bit overated now at #8. If they lose their #1 pitcher it could be a long season.

TNL is an underated team.

American Pastime is better than people think.

Victory has to get over the hump. It's the best 98 team that Campbell has had in the last 4 years.

I agree on the Aztecs long term but you have to reward the girls for the fall they had. Not once has anyone on that team came on the Bucket to say they were under rated at #19 ... etc.

Without the pitcher FC98 is not an elite team and any team with that pitcher is a top 10 team. Remember PGF was set-up by a 18 Gold coach that has a history of pitching only 1 pitcher to win a title.... at 14 ASA Nationals that just won't work with 100+ teams but at PGF it's possible.

Sota is loaded and unlike last years "dream team" they're not a showcase team. I didn't jump on the "dream team" bandwagon last year because the "mind set" to win a National tournament is completely different than the "showcase mindset". If you look at the number of early verbals off of last years "dream team" - they very successful at placing girls but never lived up to the hype on the field. Right now Sota's team is more "focused" and therefore a title contender.

TNL is not ranked higher - as they had a couple of big holes but I heard they fill those holes during the winter break. If true, they will be a top 4 team. I will withhold judgement until I see them play.

American Pastime 97 is a bit like Corona Angles 98 - they play best as an under dog. Not use to winning with the high expectations...... like at Victory Campball or OCBB Myers where if you finish second everyone labels it a "failure."

I look forward to Feb 12th.........

I am surprised by the lack of conversation about the new rankings.

I guess 14u parents are starting to increase their softball maturity?

Maybe, but I think everyone is a bit nervous about Feb 12th or they don't want to explain why their team did not sign-up! :D

Lack of conversation just means that there is alot of mutual respect between teams. No trash talk before Feb 12th, just getting ready to deal between the lines !

Is there any adjustments to the current ranking? If so does it take place on page 1 or later pages? Just wondering, bored at work and love reading comments.

Word is on the street that TBaller couldn't stand being on the sidelines and not daddyball the situation so he's got his own team again now. Can he get into the Feb 12th tourney?
