12U Nor Cal Teams

As funny as this Mizuno pre-season smack talk is starting to become, have to admit I'm pretty excited to see these guys try to back it up on the field this Spring.

Plus, I'm not even sure some of these posts are really from Garcia parents. I know a few of them and they have way more class.

I'm not sure about the teams that may be out there, but RR IS out there, and they are far from a rec team.

I have seen mizuno and RR play several times over the past year or more. Those teams have to much fun playing each other and have to much respect for one another for either side to talk any smack about the other. Every time they play it's the best that age bracket has to offer. If both teams are able to keep their teams in tact for the spring and summer I could see either of them making a run at a national championship if they choose to try. Both teams have power pitching, defense and hitters. And regarding the parents, It seemed in fall that the trouble parents on both sides had moved on. These are two classy teams that should draw a crowd any time they play.

LOL. Taking a page from Softball123's notebook, eh? The bucket needs a good stirring every once in a while. Especially as we head into a new season and all camps are mostly whisper quiet.

Thats what makes the 10's and 12's so exciting. All the smack talk among the parents. When everything is said and done, the game will be played on the field between the 9 to 12 girls playing the game.

I thought it would have made a lot of sense for the girls from both the 12u and 14u teams to disband and integrate into the other top teams. Both teams were very good in the fall, but neither of them dominated.

Now if each of the top five teams took 2-3 girls from the TC fall roster, Norcal would have instantly been more competitive.

Team Xtreme (the old team cali) is no longer quiet. Website is updated. The guy who came on here and said he was NOT coaching, is. Johny Commings (sp?) Coupling this information, with the new asst coach (Heath of Mizuno/Hype fame), losing 4 girls and getting just 1, this team is officially off the radar now for me.

If the former team had 14 and that was too many because of complaints about bench time, then it makes sense to only add 1 to the 10 that remained. If the coaches have solid talent to work with, the team can be successful.

What if they top 8 from TC had stayed together and added the best player from 3-4 other teams? They had several good players on both teams. It isn't reasonable to expect a brand-new team to dominate in it's first season, so no surprise on that.
