Imoto #1 is crazy! FC Sota should be in the #1 spot! Not sure if Imoto even deserves to be in the top 10. What have they done? I have not heard a word about them this fall.

I wasn't gonna post...but what the hell...Brackeys ranking was being talked about by few folks at Araujo's/Sota's workouts last night...what else was there to talk about, we have no life...we all agreed pretty much Brackey's list is all for fun and laughs...and we all got one.

As for the what maybe perceived as shots at the orgs, specially the 'Crackers, we all know we joined for the cool uniform, colors, logo (specially the cracker dude, whose just as popular as the Geico Gecko), and of course the coaches. If we don't like what the org does, leave or don't join. Yes there are alternatives and that's a good thing.

As for Brashear's team, as an earlier poster said, they played great in last tourney, unlike previous performances earlier this fall, and Brackey did state that they are on "pace". Team did lose a great player, its happened before and Brashear tends to overcome the loses just like the other teams with good coaches. There...my two worthless cents, :D I feel I'm back at 12's!

Access, we're just a bunch of rowdy characters that have continued our passion for the bucket from 10U to 12U and now 14U.

Are DD's are growing up but it still feels like 10U here in the bucket.

Has anyone seen TBaller lately? I'm sure he's having coaching withdrawals now that he can't daddyball it.

And it just may continue up to 18U Gold and beyond ...Maybe by then we've turned into all knowing Yoda's whose DD made it to D1 and now giving back words of wisdom like...like...don't want to name them...don't want PMs on my inbox

TBaller is on the side line with SCal A's I think... :D

We want our #22 spot back!!!   J/K... The only team I don't see here is DP but i'm sure they'll make their way up the chart soon enough. Not a bad team. And as for the rankings, it is what it is, just an early poll to get all us bucket heads going again!!! :D

Great input from the HB gallery once again. Very interesting dialogue and I agree with most of it. I agree that Sota is head and shoulders above the 97"s in terms of talent and IMO it is a stretch that the strong 97"s of Sota, Lockman and McNee are behind even the strongest 98 teams. Have said it before that FC98 remains the strongest of the 98's, at least for now. Really want to see the healthy CA98. Bottom line is that this is a very strong division and will be fun to folow. The youngins are gonna get their commupins for some time when all the teams play together, but will be strong and competitive and should not be overlooked down the line.

Disagree, this ain't 1st year 12U when girls are overpowered and oversized. The 98's best teams will beat many of their 97 or 16U counterparts right out of the gate.

Well said Closer and I agree with your post 110%! Only time will tell the top 98's listed can and will contend with ALL the 97's mentioned in this poll. JMO :D

Finally. Maybe Sota is paying me good money to keep them out of the top spot

I have reserved #22 for Double Play! Hoping they and So Cal Athletics get mad and prove bracky wrong! ;)

Brashear's team will be fine.... coaching is much better then people give credit. "Some horses like to run out front, while some like to hang back a bit..."

ontheblack wrote:I have seen most of these teams and the 1st year 14s are not as good as the 2nd year 14s in this poll. IMO you have let your bias against those teams playing up color your judgment here. I also disagree with your premise that the 98s will have an advantage over the 97s after HS.

Yes some of the 2nd year 14U teams are clearly better right now! But High School ball will soon mess 70% of them up. Have you watched many High School softball games? ..... terrible softball. Just terrible..............

ontheblack wrote: If Stith had dropped back to 40' right after HS and and not played so much at 43' he would have rolled thru Premier. Premier will not be won by a 98.

That is the problem!!!!.. Most of the 2nd 14U will not drop down soon enough (they will always continue to play a 16U or 18U team here and there)

ontheblack wrote: Premier will not be won by a 98.

If you look at the recent history of 14U Nationals - you will see that the younger 14U teams dominate the top ten. Usually you end up with only 2-3 older 14U teams in the top 10.

CoachWithDenimShorts wrote:You have got to be kidding me!!!! Bracky, seriously put up the real poll now...
These people are believing you already....

Victory 98 vs. Sota? Lockman? McNee?

We're waiting for the real list Bracky, jokes over.

I was hoping someone would suggest a “Bracky Friendly” 1st vs. 2nd Year at 40 feet! :D :D :D

Top Bracket:

Firecrackers Sota (1) vs. OC Batbusters 98 (4)

Firecrackers-Brashear 98 (2) vs. OC Batbusters –Ybarra (3)

Bottom Bracket:

Victory USA 98 Campbell (1) vs. San Diego Power Surge 97 (4)

OC Batbusters McGee (2) vs. Corona Angels 98 (3)

man I hate watching showcases and high school ball ............ missing 12U again
