14U Team Rankings (Bracketologist) Updated July 8th Poll!

by Fan » Wed Nov 16, 2011 12:47 pm

Checkout the link:
http://www.leaguelineup.com/miscinfo.as ... =341400010

Above link is used as an example, look at the logo next to the player's picture. The following is is just a question, do not read to much into the specific team (it could be any organization).

Do smaller organizations have the equivalent talent to have an equal opportunity at getting the players recruited? Or is there more behind the organization's name and perhaps connections with institutions?

No doubt Tony's team is talented because he's one of the best coaches out there and can hand pick girls. However, there is an illusion for the many non-gold Firecracker parents that their DD's will one day be Firecracker Gold players. Most of the girls on this site didn't come up as FC girls.

Same can be said for OCBB, CA and any other org with multiple teams. Loyalty doesnt get you on one of their Gold teams if you don't have Gold level talent. And even that isnt a guarantee.

I thought this post was about the 14U Division.

It is in a roundabout way. Many at this level believe the org name means something beyond bragging rights, which is why you see a plethora of teams in the same division from the same orgs. The fact is if Tony or Marty or Gary wants a kid on their Gold team, they will go after them, regardless of what team or org they play for. As Arto pointed out, Tony only carries @18 at a time, regardless of the fact that he may have 100 'crackers in the pipeline.

Actually, of the 18 on this roster, 15 came up from one FC team or another since 12's or 14's
Of the other three, one joined Tony's team as a freshman last year, one joined as a junior this year, and one's team switched over to FC as an 8th grader a couple of years ago.
I would say that's pretty much in house.
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

Hola Comrados,

It is going to be a good winter/spring season and this is very strange because in my country it is summer right now. I have to agree with you Closer that parents have many illusions in this game of softball, aka pelota blanda. And even if your talking about softball and I’m thinking about futbol, I’m pretty sure that there is a very slight possiblity that we might be on the same page.

El Closer y la dodgerblue, I also share that feeling deep down inside about the fuegolitos. Nosotros son “hermanos del amorodio” and it doesn’t matter how many times you get beat by them, I agree with Brackey and I think your better. In my country we have a saying “el espesor de un bigote lo es todo”, and even though you might not know what that means, I can tell you understand what it says.

Keep up the fight my friends.

Con sentimientos encontrados,

Jack Madavilla

Whats wrong with having three gold teams? Gold Gold, Gold, and almost gold...Tony's rent in the HB isn't cheap.

Well well well, where've you been hiding lately girlfriend? Did you decide to stay with the "Punished" or did you jump ship like the majority? Played them at a friendly in Chino about a month back and didn't recognize but one or two kids??? :D
