LL Softball on ESPN2

Not sure about cranking up the guns, but they showed Hoover hit 63 tonight! She is wild and throws 2 or 3 balls for every strike. Also they do not use 11" ball any longer in Little League.

Last night a fly that no blue would call fair or foul, tonight PU calls it fair, blue at 3rd calls it foul. Then a play at third sure looked like obstruction. Guess the ASA officals arent so bad after all.

Not obstruction when play is being at the bag. No different than a play at the plate. The over the bag fair ball by the home PU, was a bad call.

Listen, locally the only softball press we get is for high school ball and when the local Little League teams go to regionals. We have kids who played at Gold Nationals and we can't even get them a side story...

There is a reason for that, and it has very little to do with the package deal LL Inc has with ESPN.

Guess the ASA officals arent so bad after all.

Care to guess how much LL pays these umpires per game?

Williamsport requires Little League Baseball and Softball to be a 100% volunteer organization up, down and sideways.

Little League has 3rd tier athletes representing them in softball and they're losing ground in LL baseball as well in SoCal. It's funny how it's been a few years since SoCal last qualified for the LLWS but during that same period there's been a huge movement to travel baseball. They baby their athletes too much now!

Oh I've seen that channel. The only one that reported all that fake Edwards affair/love-child propaganda crap, right? Yeah...no journalistic integrity or credibility whatsoever.

Anyone who believes that story wouldn't have gotten 24/7 coverage on the so-called "real news" channels if it was a Republican VP contender--or any conservative politician, for that matter--is thoroughly stoned.
