This weekend in DFW

by lotsofmilesforball » Thu Nov 03, 2011 3:48 pm

The rants here have me thinking about the Firecrackers like I am about Herman Cain. Anonymous people come out with wild statements without having to give up their name in real life so I start to like him/them more. As has been said, "Heavy is the head that wears the crown".

Keep up the great work!!

HATE these boards! I think they are good for nothing but gossip, bashing, and ugly things. I have learned to stay off of them because all they do is make my blood boil!

I just love when people say this then get on here and comment. Especially, when you point out one of the new girls on the team by her number. That is nice support. Bad enough someone on here is calling out a kid you go and point out exactly who they are talking about.

This board should not be used to call out individual kids.

A time like this I actually miss Joe... this is one thing we agreed on.

Ok so your picks weren't even close BUT how did you know Firecrackers and ETX Bombers were going to choke?

Maybe by looking at past performance? Every week people come on here posting how the Firecrackers and Bombers are the teams to beat in N Texas, I just dont see it. What have they won? I can cut the bombers a little bit of slack since they are a new team but they have to beat someone first before they are considered among the elite in my book. And as far as the other team I think it is offically time to rename them the Fire-chokers. Sure they play well but they cant finish.

I'm sure you are right POP. Let me guess. Its a 16U so they were not expected to win? But looks to me like all the other 98 teams in this tournament performed, in fact the tournement was won by a 98 team and the 98's beat up on everyone else all weekend.

I fully expect to get pilled on for this opinion as everyone does who merely suggests that the Fire-chokers are not as advertised. And before someone asks Yes my kid has played for them before (who hasnt in North Texas) and no she didnt get cut.
