Hey LW 25
There are a lot of teams on the list I know nothing about. From the Houston area I would say the strong teams early are
Sudden Impact ;)
Impact Gold
Smash 98, now Sugarland Magic
Tx Storm Elite
Katy Cruisers :o

This tournament will really be the first time I have seen 95% of the Texas teams so the jury is still out.

I think we (Sudden Impact) play you guys in pool. Come by and say hello.

If things run like they have in the past the 14U Impact Gold will be playing 16's. Getting there girls exposed to MORE College Coaches that will be at the 16U fields.

WTH? We were under the impression that 14u couldn't play up or they would be removed from the tourn?

Lol I wondered how long it was gonna take for someone to bring up pitching distance. Trust me
40' is definately NOT our preferance. We are gonna give it a shot though. Haven't played 40' in the last year and a half so it should be interesting.
I have a pretty good ASA source that says after the meetings next week he is 90% sure ASA will be 43' for 14's starting in 2012. Which will make it a lot easier for those of us who plan on playing 16's
locally but then HOF and Nationals at 14. Now let's
Just hope if ASA does it that Premier follows suit.
Laguna Beach sounds a little more inviting than Souix Falls.
Anyway, see you folks this weekend. Ill be the fat guy in the dugout come say hi.

12U results

1st - Texas Terminators
2nd - Austin Stars 99
3rd - Texas Peppers 99
4th - Houston Power
5th - American Freedom/Texas Bombers 99
7th - Kaos 00/Cenla Heat
9th - Kaos 99/Pasadena Angels/Beaumont Blast/Cobras

This was top 10 in 12s. Don't know about 14s.

Terminators were undefeated in bracket play. Stars came from the losers side after losing first bracket game to Cenla Heat on Saturday.

Clearly our 2nd year 14U teams in Elite, BB Spuria, Glory Kyser and Glory Allen which both have 97's are not ready for these big time tournaments. If Elite and BB are the only 14U NTX second year teams in the area that are willing to compete nationally we are in trouble. What has happened to the Zoom's and TNT gold's of the world? NTX needs to step It up in softball efforts if we are to compete here? What happened to the pure '98 Firecrackers? How did they fare out there? Have not heard from there side past Saturday as they were undefeated as well BB. Where did each team place? How did Glory Kyser's bunch fare as well?

Southlake as long they have the good old boys there and in other complexes as well. It's money first and softball second. The Ronald McDonald is proof of that. TD's keep holding back the progress of softball here in NTX. Something needs to change or simply let's just continue to be happy with mediocre softball.

FC went 5-2 and finished 9th. We lost to Sudden Impact and Houston power. Sudden impact had a girl that could bring it in the mid 60. She was clocked as high as 66 from what I seen.
