Punishers '98 break-up

by sofbal1234 » Tue Aug 30, 2011 2:48 pm

I understand that after their VERY disappointing showing at nationals in Alabama the Punishers have either disbanded or moved to a different organization all together??? Does anyone know where we should expect to see the next wave of boisterous chatter from the likes of WendyPeffercorn, papiball and others? :o
Just wondering. :D

If this is such the case, just how many returning players will be coming back? From my understanding not many if any at all??? Heard thru the vines ALOT of them went to different org.??? Why would that be? Too much daddy ball perhaps in which caused them such a bad showing at nats? :o :o :o

Just curious to know if we'll have as much fun back and forth with the same group of folks from last season? ;)

Nope... just changing colors for the season! 8-) Besides, I just wanted to keep track of where all my rowdy punisher parents would wind up. You know how much fun we had this past season! :D

One For The Road, a lengthy response to Bracketologist 12U PRE ASA POLL, dated August 12, included, in part, the following: "No idea what happend to Punishers and USA Athletics (at Nationals). Punishers were out quick and USA ran into the CA98 buzzsaw. They'll both need to regroup and add some additional parts as they enter 14U." It is ironic that you now share that these two teams are joining forces. Both teams definately had some very strong performers. Although neither did as well as expected at Nats, this merger should result in an extremely competitive team and I look forward to seeing them play. The same August 12 response also included a comment that the showing of CA98 at Nats could finally net them the elusive #1 pitcher that onthejuice and softbal234 have been pursuing for the past year. Sounds like softbal 1234 has confirmed that to be true. Come on Peg, who'd you snag?

Should be a fun season! Younger 14U teams are probably going to get beat down for awhile from their elder sisters, but I expect the stronger first year 14U teams will be very competitive by the Turkey Tourneys. See you all on the field.
