Ronald McDonald Tourney

by LETHAL WEAPON 25 » Tue Aug 23, 2011 11:12 am

Does anyone have any alternative contact info for the folks at who run the Ronald McDonald tourney? I got into the website a few weeks back and printed off the application and sent it and our check in, but now it says the website has been blocked due to being infected with malware. I need to get to the Hotel list and etc.
Thanks,

On the subject of this tournament, is the pre-tournament clinic/evaluation worth the extra money?

Ronnie mcdonnie is all about the benjamins baby. Would love to see the accounting for the last 10 years but that won't happen in this lifetime. The gods that be are above reproach. If you don't think so just ask them.
Unless you are a stud team then get ready to play in BFE with no one watching. But hey they still want that money and will add as many freaking teams as they can manage and then about 50 more for good measure. About 1/2 the fields won't have fences and maybe baseball fields at that. Three to four locations that are miles apart and you may play at all of them...on the same day

Not a fan of the clown that runs this money making scheme and I'm not talking about Ronald Mcdonald.

Hmm..let's see...1 dollar for RM... 2 dollars for me. 1 dollar for RM.. 2dollars for me etc.

I am not associated with RM or the IG, but there is nothing that says they have to donate any of the money to the charity. If you look at other tournaments around the country, how many of those monies are not used for the benefit of the organization that puts them on? Its a fundraiser. If the teams not playing at the main fields don't like it, then don't come. Additionaly, we have played on the secondary fields at RM and coaches will come if you email them and they are interested in your player.

Clarified my post. Sorry for the confusion there Spazsdad.

To clarify a little further. I don't think the success of the event is because of the association Impact Gold has with Ronald McDonald house. The event is succesful because most of the top coaches in the area and the country attend. It could be called the Bring Me Your Damn Money Showcase and be successful if the teams attending provided the college coaches the players they are looking for.

I added the "I am" before the not associated with IG or RM. To clarify that the two are associated but I am not associated with either.

They use the name because they donate money to the charity. Their summer event is very successful too, but it is not associated with a charity.

There are plenty of fundraiser showcases that do not benefit a charity, only the team that puts them on such as Boulder Independence Day and Rising Stars.

These events are money grabs no doubt, just like any other fundraiser.
