Hey, IG has been successful because they have been able to provide consistency in both coaching and organization over the past few years.....something no other organization in Houston has been able to replicate in such a volunteer organization. In addition, they have the full support of SKGSL in maintaining and promoting their organization, again a feat no other organization has been able to accomplish as well. So big kudo's for them, and I don't think anyone should knock them for executing a successful plan.
Does not mean however that your DD must play for them to be labeled a big time Houston talent. In fact, many organizations are quite successful in matching schools with kids, but the organizations with the greatest stability are the ones college coaches gravitate to because---SUPRISE!---they know who the coach is year after year! Saddest thing I see though are the committed kids that do rise to the top level of play that somehow seem to think they need to play for IG their junior/senior year to get that last piece of "success". A great marketing job by IG, but I see it as a poor showing of character by the player for not using her success to help promote the team that got her there.
