I know the top 3. I spoke with a friend of mine and he said it was the worst Tournament he has ever played in. No water in the dugouts and did not maintain fields threw out the day. They chaulked the fields in the morning and that's all they did. No TD on site and No UIC. He told me it was a total mess. His team is on this list and he still told me all this.... Must have been BAD.. :)

1. High Voltage 94
2. SK Tazers
3. LA Patroits

The last 5 teams left on Sunday were Patriots, Tazers, High Voltage, Stix-Myrick, Bomb Squad.
Bomb Squad - 5th
Stix - Myrick - 4th
We left before the 3rd place game was played I assume the order of finish in the previous post is correct. It shocks me though the Stix and High Voltage played a very tough game. The High Voltage got the best of us in the last inning (congrats on getting those 2 runs to win it). Both the Stix and the High Voltage were pretty much spent after that. (100 degrees and about 95% humidity). The Patriots and the Tazers were both very solid teams.

The only thing good about this tournament was we got to play some quality teams.
Tazers, High Voltage, Oklahoma Avalanche, Wicked, etc, etc

Everthing thing else was awful.

I highly recommend staying away from anything that Rusty or Texas Softball Magazine does.
This guy is a crook.

I have talked to several of the umpires that worked the tournament this weekend and they reported nothing but BAD things. From scheduling of games to field maintenance to water (or lack of) on the fields ot in the dugouts.

This guy had 70 teams for his FIRST tournament (70x$200 = $14k) and had he taken care of business, there is no telling how many he could have drawn next year!

From what I have heard (and I did not have a kid in the tournament) this guy took the money and let the tournament play out.

From what I know about the umpiring that was there (I have worked with in the past and seen work their games) they did not pull the proverbial "cream of the crop"

He had a posting on etmz requesting umpires 3 days before the tournament! He said he needed 36 umpires still at that date because the crew he had scheduled bailed on him, whatever  Apparently this is not the first time this guy has scammed people. I liked the idea of the tournament, the low cost, location, number and quality of teams and was pushing for our girls to play there. We were planning on it but multiple injuries killed our season early and it sounds like missing this "national" tournament was a blessing.

I didn't go, DD team didn't go but I know some that did (DD picked up with an older team) and I heard nothing good from anyone. The top 3 results are interesting to me. I would not have called that at all. Congrats to those teams that did indure and prevail.
My daughter is perfect, she knows everything. Just ask her.

What happened to the Hawks? They are a really good team and I figured they would have won or at least placed in that tourny.

The only good thing about this tournament were the teams participating.

Cluster @$%^ from the get go. Pool games were moved around some got 4 others got just 2.
Some teams scheduled to play a pool game @ 12:30 Friday night w/ a bracket game first thing in the morning.

Fields were chalked once (at the start of the day). No water (heck a garden hose would have been nice). Fields were terrible...The craters in the pitching circle were rediculous. (one field had ladders so the pitchers could climb out when the inning was over). Home plate corners sticking up out of the ground.

We had to go to another field to get trophies...The coaches presented everything...No TD or UIC...No lights for the championship game...

Hats off to all the teams (players, coaches, parents) for hanging in considering the conditions and lack of leadership from TD or UIC.

Just terrible...We will not go back.

The blues were horrible but that is not why we did not get it done.
While they(blues) left a lot to be desired we were worse.
We lost our first bracket game to a team we sent home in state.
Then well it just got worse in our second loss.
Multible errors on rountine plays. We could not string hits together.
The word flat comes to mind but that would be an understatement.
but it happens .
Still love the team ,the coaches and we WILL be back next year and bigger stronger and meaner

BRING IT !

Good luck to the rest of you for the remainder of your season

I totally agree with everything said, I was there, participated, and got shafted!

HOWEVER!

Please do not judge this event and hold it against those of us that do work hard at bringing quality softball and hospitality to the Beaumont area. We have hosted tournaments, and friendlies, without all the caos!
