Right now I am barbecuing. Nothing like watching a hurricane while eating good barbecue. I bet you left coast folks wish you could plan earthquakes like we do hurricanes. Just imagine an earthquake party... doesnt have the same ring as a hurricane party.

Hit Pineapple Willie's for us. Bunch of us went in there - they had a family order of ribs, one of our families ordered one of those for their family and K ordered one - just for herself. She finished hers and then nibbled on their leftovers.

Didnt notice any jambalaya - but the closest I ever got to be bit by a gator is over by the state park near the beach. There was a gator laying still by a little bayou and I was showing some of my kids that they aren't vicious by nature - I was reaching over to touch it and my cell phone went off - scared me and the gator.

Naturally, we consider you folks the danger lovers. We only have bridges collapse, buildings crumble (no brick buildings, please...), instant shifts of roadways by a couple feet, intriguing splits in the earth that were not there 6 seconds ago.... you know, the usual stuff. All with no warning. Oh... and fires.

You folks get a 165 MPH barbeque-breeze, 110 degree heat, 19 inches of rain overnight, tornados, locusts, lightening by the moment and armadillos digging up your lawn every night. And 110 degree heat, crickets by the billions, dry counties, more tornados, 3 Suburbans in every garage and... another hurricane... and 110 degree heat.

I dunno... could be a toss-up.

If you are going to Midland how come your team is on the final list for Western Nationals???

I called early last week to get off the list. We decided not to go last week. Thats on them. Oh, and we decided NOT to go to Nationals.
