Too Many Teams Forming In SoCal "WHO ARE YOU"

I don't know about anyone else thoughts on this but I think it's too many damn teams forming in SoCal period 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, 18 GOLD. It needs to be a committee that grants certain qualified people to coach in SoCal. Maybe something like what lawyers go through too pass "THE BAR" to be able to take a team. So many teams forming dilutes the talent pool. Maybe it's me but I hate seeing 2 or 3 great players on a team and the other 10 or so players are average.

If your organization or team hasn't done well in the last 5 years, please fold your organization or team and let your kids join a good organization or team.

what if you DD id not good enough to make a legit travel team and you don't want her to play rec ball. you want to be able to say my DD plays travel ball. start your own team. sounds like a plan

Are you saying that we need the So Cal Communist Softball Committee (SCCSC) to centally control the number of teams or do we let the forces of the open market (supply and demand) set the market price...ooops I mean the number of organizations/teams/coaches.

Although I agree with the OP. You can't stop them from playing competitive ball. I see 18G orginazations that don't do well all year and still get their girls signed somewhere. This is what it's all about in my opinion. Not every girl will play PAC12 or SEC but you could get a pretty damn good education in the 200 other D1 schools.

One of the best kids I know played for a no name team for 2 years.. then came out and has been lights out for FC.

She played with a no-name team to gain experience and confidence which helped her greatly in her softball career.

I understand but alot of good kids get over look because the team they play for aren't as strong or the coach doesn't know anybody.

Or you can take lessons from a coach from a top orginazation because it is in fact a business.
