"coaches", too many teams and too many organizations. If they would be consolidated and only play with the best kids instead of 3 or 4 good kids and then a bunch of average (average being better then rec ball) kids, then were not having this conversation.

PJ....you're right on here...way too many kids, especially the average ones. The scrubs are making the good ones look bad and simply need to switch to soccer or cheer. The best solution is to make softball an elite game for a select few...a few rec players... and then all will be okay.

PM me and let's see if we can begin some sort of boycott against the crappy kids who are getting in the way...

Well first, we need a committee to determine average crappiness. Then we need to hold a city wide tryout to scrub the scrubs from the game. Maybe we can create a Recelect league where those that are slightly better than rec can play. Forget A, B or C teams, all that is foolishness. We just need Awesome, Recelect, Scrubby.

Agreed! ASA should develop a classification system of:

Acceptable
Scrub
Don't even think about it

Joe and Brew2Us...don't pretend to not know what I mean. I don't mean cut everyone that wants better coaching, better athletes around their kids...etc. What I am referring to is the players who get cut and then next week you find out a new team has popped up with their mom/dad as the head coach. Then they have to find 8 or 9 players so they can field a team so their kid can play.

I do like your rating system though...Can we do that with life and give all the money to the elite contributors...oh wait we already have that it's called Capitalism.

And softball and capitalism should work the same way, hand in hand. Everyone has the same opportunity and the ones who work hard (and smart) shall reap the rewards.

WOW. been out trying to earn a buck. Took a quick peek in. Didn't mean to hit such an insecurity. I was just trying to put something together in Richardson/North Dallas because nothing exists there, and I didn't want to mimick all the daddy ball (i.e. protect my daughter and her friends) such as AXE, TWIST, FIREBALLS, FIRESTYXX, and the rest.

Daddy ball is fantastic. Without it, a lot of girls don't get to play and don't get to spend time with their friends. There is a place for it. Commonly referred to as rec ball and I say that with no disrespect, but the rich communities north of dallas and North dallas struggle with the fact that daddy's little girl is not an athlete. But hey, she's rich, pretty, and gonna have an easy life. AH, THE NORTH DALLAS PRINCESS. . . WHAT A GREAT MOM/WIFE SHE WILL BE! God help us all.

Let the big, tall , hardworking, poor girls have a chance at being good at something!

Now back to the ORIGINAL question. Just looking for coaches. gotten lots of emails from hardworking kids. . . . and I've found 4 or 5 coaches in the process.

. . . . and I still believe, at least in the lower age groups, the mid cities and ft worth is 100 times better softball than dallas.

Now maybe that stalker justawatcher will show up . :)

oh, and justawatcher.

the new thing is coming along fine. It's about helping kids and having fun. Of course, being just a watcher, you know nothing about that.

You will always be worthless because you don't try, you just watch.

Now go beg for a crumb of bread from your boss. He's waiting for you.

talk about striking a chord. Wow. So its all about the kids and helping? Unless they are "pretty, rich girls?" For a minute I think we were all on board with you being an active member of the softball community and contributing something positive, but you just proved your screenname to be accurate.

As for me; son, I have been around this game a long, long, time and could coach circles around you. At one time or another, I'm confident I could have played circles around you as well. Im old. I own that. I can't do much outside of watching the game I enjoy. You'll be there one day too. Maybe by then you'll have that chip off your shoulder and you can enjoy the game too.

Hey aggie why not share with us what the name of this great "new" powerhouse softball team you are putting together is. You are quick to call out the teams above and call them "Daddy Ball" my guess is that a couple of them would beat your team 9 out of 10 on the dirt with or without your D1 coaching. If your going to call out teams on this forum you should at least let us in on your team's name so we know when one of these "Daddy Ball" teams dominate you. My guess is you will reply with some excuse as to why you WONT give us the name.

Not even close PBJ. I do think if Aggie is going to call out N Texas teams and call them "daddy ball" he should be willing to give his new team name that way when those Daddy Ball teams as he calls them destroys his team on the dirt we will ALL know how his "something new" is working out. If your going to call out certain teams you shouldnt be bashfull about letting us know his team name. He shouldnt come on HB talking smack unless he is willing to back it up!!!
