I'm not here to keep you engaged so you can watch, I'm trying to do something different. Go argue somewhere else.

FACT IS: even at a "high level" of kid softball in the area, it's all marginal. we'd just be arguing over which is worse, not which is better. We went through this in basketball 20 years ago. Now Dallas basketball is some of the best in the country. It's an evolution and dinosaurs have to die.

Joe, lots and lots of interest. Neat to see

Aggie,

Now that you mention it, watcher is kind of a creepy name... especially on a site dedicated to young female athletes under the age of 18 :o

As for his statistical analysis??? This is his expertise, although he's far from an expert at it... Nevermind that Dallas County is almost twice the size of Tarrant...and yes Keller's won one of those state tournament thingys too...lots of those commits/players are from the west side of DFW...yada, yada...flaws, flaws (Watcher...do your homework next time)

...and btw, how is it that the city the size of Dallas has no fastpitch organization/facilities? All of the Dallas County teams/players come from the burbs.

On the other hand, FW has the Gotcher/Grubbs/Austin musketeers...Together, these three have practically disassembled one of the ASA strongholds in the state. Mansfield is still hanging in there, but Keller, Southlake, Grapevine and NRH dominate the show....and they've all told Gotcher and company to take a hike...

It's true what they say! What goes around comes around...

Joe, once again you are about to look foolish and will likely avoid my question to follow.

The size of the two counties is completely irrelevant. Tha man said FW was "way ahead" of Dallas. I was asking why he thought so.
Had he asked about good softball per capita, then maybe we could have a conversation related to logistics.

Yes Keller has won state. Ok. I just took the most recent outing since Aggies statement led us all to believe that he meant FW
is "way ahead" of Dallas RIGHT NOW. I suppose we could go back and look at history like last year when Hebron went the farthest. Or how about the year before that when Plano East went farthest?
Year before that? Garland. How far back should we go Aggie? Or did you mean right now?

None of the commits I took were from the FW side of town. Go count them. They ALL attend high school on the Dallas side. All of them.
I did not count the ones that live on the FW side. So tell us Joe, which players did I account for that live on that side of town?

I'm much too old and creepy to worry about it. I could have a screen name like fluffyBunny101 and I would still be and old creepy guy.

Aggie, I simply asked you a question (which you didn't answer). I'm not trying to argue. I'm trying to do what people do on message boards-have a conversation. And you're not doing anything different. You would be far from the first person to staff a team with some previous D1 players.

Watcher...who the f#@k cares what Aggie's up to. He wants to find a coach for his team and what's it to you? Why do you have to get all up in Aggie's business on this?

justawatcher have you not learned by now that Joe knows absolutely NOTHING!!! Every conversation on this board somehow comes back to GG and ASA! I am sure it will be on his tombstone and his last breath will be about how GG and ASA screwed him over.

Once everyone learns that Joe is really Joe Blow and only cares about his personal grudge the better off you will be.

Here is one of my favorite quotes from Joe Blow " Blah Blah Blah Blah, blah blah blah blah." and "Blah blah blah blah blah"

AS far as the actual topic at hand. Just because they played D1 doesn't mean than can coach or teach the girls. I have seen many excellent athletes not be able to translate or coach these kids. But if you can find the rare athlete that can do both I say more power to you. I won't argue if Dallas or Fort Worth is better. Don't think that really matters.

Danny, Danny...isn't it past your bedtime? GG or his ASA never screwed me over...and I never said that. GG DID get what was coming and for that I'll pop open another Corona tonight. It's always nice when those who do the screwing...get screwed.

As for your topic at your hand....just because D1 played... doesn't mean "than" can coach. I agree...and I'm happy you agree that GG f'd up Tarrant softball...

I doubt anyone cares but he doesn't just want to find a coach for his team. He wants to "try something new" by hiring former D1 players (women of course) because Dallas is WAY behind Ft. Worth in terms of competition. I was simply asking him to elaborate on his comments because I honestly don't understand. Besides all that, it's always good fun to see you dodge questions. :P

The statement of Fort Worth being WAY better then North DFW is ridiculous. I think the problem with North DFW is not lack of good coaches or organizations...in fact it's too many
"coaches", too many teams and too many organizations. If they would be consolidated and only play with the best kids instead of 3 or 4 good kids and then a bunch of average (average being better then rec ball) kids, then were not having this conversation.

Well maybe we are...since BDA is looking to try something new...

that PBJ, is the same problem we're having in Florida. Too many teams.

But the sport is exploding in popularity. So it's a case of the good with the bad. IMHO, from just a Florida Aggie's perspective.

PJ....you're right on here...way too many kids, especially the average ones. The scrubs are making the good ones look bad and simply need to switch to soccer or cheer. The best solution is to make softball an elite game for a select few...a few rec players... and then all will be okay.

PM me and let's see if we can begin some sort of boycott against the crappy kids who are getting in the way...

Well first, we need a committee to determine average crappiness. Then we need to hold a city wide tryout to scrub the scrubs from the game. Maybe we can create a Recelect league where those that are slightly better than rec can play. Forget A, B or C teams, all that is foolishness. We just need Awesome, Recelect, Scrubby.
