It's rapid prototyping, it's been around for at least 15 years.

Basically, instead of printing with ink it prints a liquid in layers that mimics whatever it is recreating. The liquid combines with a powder to form a very tough plastic-like material that quickly hardens.

Jay Leno did a bit awhile back about the technology when he was replicating a piece for one of his cars. It was some broken bracket or other that is not available so he had one "printed"...

Posted it in classified ads here on HB for $250 and not one reply??? Oh well, guess they thought that was too much, but seen them for up to $500 and sold...??? PM me if your are seriously interested and it's yours!
