Thanks Gaphitter for the vote of confidence. Good luck to your team in 'Bama. Your team is solid and look forward to you making some "noise" back there.

I realize that this is not ASA's, but with 82 teams to overcome, the champion will have it's work cut out for them, as there is no "clear" favorite to win it IMO.

Teams whom could take the title (in no particular order)....Dirt Dogs 98 (whom beat us 1-0 in semi's at our Association Championships), Combat Panthers, Lady Assasins (darkhorse pick), East County Hot Shots 98, SunCats 98, Sorcerer 98, SoCal Hurricanes-Salas (whom we play in our pool), AA-McGowan 99 (whom we play in our pool), OC Banzai, and of course, we didn't plan on going there to take 2nd!!

Good luck to everyone in their quest to become champions.

OK I will admit that I have not seen this team play other than a couple of innings vs SoCal Madness in recent friendly (and they looked like a pretty decent team) and was really taking Softball 1234's opinion that they would be a contender? But, there is a couple other teams that could also make a "run" that I didn't mention, which should make for a very interesting tournament!!

I like a couple of the Central Cal teams: Central Cal Intensity 98 and Dirt Dogs 98. Both of them have played quite a bit in So Cal this season and did fairly well against many of the 12u So Cal teams going to Alabama.

I would also put the Cal Grapettes-Norwood in the mix. They have also played alot in So Cal against the top 12u So Cal teams.

And don't overlook the American Athletics 99, they are a scrappy bunch that beat the Firecrackers 99 at the So Cals Finest tourney in Hemet, and tied the Punishers 98 at the Mothers Day Classic. :D

WHOA!!! What rock have you been hiding under ONE FOR THE ROAD? CoachEd and his shining star DD haven't been playing for that daddy ball team outta Artesia for weeks now!!! :o. He pulled her from that circus and went straight to 14U where, from my understandings, has helped that team progress to a recent 9th place finish in the last tourney entered and had ALOT to do with their success!!! ;) Congrats are in order for her on that note and what the hell was the team she left thinking on another!!!??? :? Oh yah, DADDY BALL!!!   Well done kid and coachEd!!! :D

Suncats are kicking butt. I think they've only allowed 1 run so far.

Combat Panthers are about a half hour into their 2nd game in the losers bracket.

Suncats were a strong team. The team that sticks out to me was OC Banzai. Coach acts like he walks on water. Way to go PISTOLERO"S....  Rumor was that he got paid to coach that team. If that is true, and I am just saying what one of the So Cal teams said. I would try and get a refund. :o
