USFA

Please learn from this week of Nationals. It is time to have "TARPS" for "CHAMPIONSHIP" fields. I understand you can't control Mother Nature, but you can control this ever happening again. Lack of preparation on USFA'S part has killed DREAMS for many young LADIES. A National tournament should never have to end the way this one did. Have a plan, a back up plan, and then a plan to back it up.

Lodging. 3000
Gas. 800
Spending. 3000
Softball 15000/yr
Softball memories. Priceless
USFA Preparation. Worthless

I know a few teams that went to USFA and they don't think that tarps would have helped. Many hours of pouring rain from what they say.

If tarps were put out Friday night when the rain started we could have finished today no problem. There was a huge lack of communication. On Saturday we were called to the field 5 different times and it never quit raining. They started a few game that had no business starting. Ending a National tournament with co winners and co runners up is not acceptable. There was smoke and mirrors with a helicopter drying fields in the rain. There are too many teams each weekend and that leaves no flexibility. They played late into the am hours just to stay on schedule before the rain

Damn right! And any other tournament where some kids get to play ball!

The only thing "pitiful" is the a-hole who has a problem with that...

I have no problems with girls playing ball. But when you go watch a VTD "open" tournament as to a PGF or ASA tournament the quality of ball being played is completely different thats all I am saying... I have no problem with rec. ball. Everyone needs a place to play ball I completely agree.

So when is VTD's fall rec. ball season sign ups start, I'll help you promote it Joe?

If your spending this kind of money and not playing gold ball there is a problem.
