The sox proved that they are the top team in Indiana! Congrats! I watched quite a few games at the NSA A State Tourney. The Sox overpowered teams with pitching, but especially hitting. The Xtreme pretty much looked the same as they always have, very, very good! The Gators are an excellent team, especially for being a young 10 team. Those girls can really field the ball! Never saw the Crush play until this weekend, but I would have to say they are a very good B team. Crown Point looked decent this weekend. One thing about them that stuck out in my mind was that I noticed that one of their pitchers from past tournaments wasn't there. Hopefully they didn't lose this girl so close to the world series. Like the Crush, I would say a very good B team. The Magic 01 are definitely an approved team from the fall, but still a good B team. The Longhorns and Lightning really didn't belong. I know the Sox are going to ASA Nationals, but I wonder how many of these teams are going to step back, look in the mirror, and decide to go NSA B World Series after this weekend. Anyone?????

Indiana Xtreme is going to USFA "A" in Panama City Beach, but has decided to play the NSA "B" in Indy when they return to make up for a couple tourneys that got rained out. Our parents and players are having a great time and do not want it to end yet. We have a paid berth, so decided to go ahead and play.

The Sox did prove to be the better team this weekend. We did not have enough stamina to give them a spirited effort in the championship, after 2 very competitive games we split in pool and bracket play beforehand...

Congrats to the NWI Sox, and Bake, great weekend, fun team to play!!

I was able to catch several of the NSA A 10U games this past weekend and have to agree with Softball Freak's assessment of the Sox, Xtreme, Gators, Bulldogs. As far as the Gators, it didn't appear they brought their all around "A" game. That happens, especially, for a young 10U Team.

It's always funny at this point in the season when everyone (especially coaches) become worried about where everyone is going to end up next season. Let's get through the world series (or nationals) and worry about next season after that (at tryouts). Remember, the majority of the parents are going to tell the coaches exactly what they want to hear so their daughter's playing time isn't affected the last month of the season!
