Baton Rouge ASA results?

by DonnieS » Sat Jun 25, 2011 4:11 am

Are the results posted anywhere on line? The bracket I find on the lousiana web site havent been updated. Also , gate fee, but cant bring in drinks as opposed to the texas qualifier in dallas. In Dallas, no gate fee, bring in ice chest, well stocked and run concession stand. Am I missing where the bracket results are ?

Here in Baton Rouge the gate fee is $5 a day for adults, and $4 for ages 0-12. A parent on our team had to pay for a 8 month old. Its a little crazy. Food is doubled and dont think about walking in with a water in your hand, the will not allow you in. Oh and the have not raked the fields once. Everyone seems to be a little dissapointed.

The softball has been good. Have enjoyed watching a few different teams. Will updated when we get back to the fields in a bit.

We had no problem bringing water in. They frowned on gatorade.

They could be a little more attentive to the fields and keeping the brackets updated. Still fun though.

Have to agree - gate fees suck, no coolers and below average concessions. I never saw a bracket posted anywhere and no online updates. I'm the last one to say anything nice about Dallas, but the qualifier there was awesome compared to this. Brackets on the location, updated frequently, on-line updates, fields with covered bleachers, coolers allowed, etc etc. And if all that wasn't enough, Baton Rouge topped it off with blues in shorts! Where are the fashion police when you need them??

The water bottle nazi at the entrance of fields 1-4 was just a bleak sign of the weekend. Hot & No Shade, $5 admisson per DAY, terrible officiating, overpriced food & drinks, poor field prep.

Any word on what happened to Bombers QT and Aces Express, teams that made it last year. Loved the play of the Peppers Tanel 360 too. Heard alot of teams dropped out and heard that Georgia and Tennessee teams were tough. Hope some Texas teams got in.
