Who are the big tough teams at 10u level A?? are there any?

by BReal » Wed Jun 15, 2011 10:01 am

As a matter of fact, the Ex-Xtreme 10u are a talented group of girls, don’t think anyone is disputing this known and observable fact. All one has to do is watch the girls play the game.

A team’s record or collection of hardware does not solely define a team; unfortunately, two coaches on this team (we all know who they are) have a reputation that supersedes and prevents this team from being a great team. Being ostracized and completely disassociated by a softball organization is ultimately a direct reflection upon the coaches. Being an outcast from a known and recognizable organization is not a source of pride for most individuals. The fact these two coaches are no longer part of the organization does NOT all of a sudden elevate them to greatness as indicated in a previous message.

Love the post that stated one was educated in Ft. Wayne??? Not sure if this is a plug for Ft. Wayne's educational system or not? Lets be positive and go with that angle; I can see the city's new tag line, "Ft Wayne, Home of Mensa International".

BReal,
The Fort Wayne education was mentioned in reference to Crazy8's posting , which now has been edited and removed. Which they are calling my family ( and others from Fairmount and Luthern school) out for posting negative comments about Xtreme. I was letting them know that I was not the one posting negative comments. I can't say I like or dislike the Xtreme coaches but I know there are 10 girls on that team that are all standouts and have worked there butts off.

No only is Dino not posting the negative comments, but neither are the parents who have the Lutheran Education. I do not know the circumstances surrounding why the families got kicked off the team, or why the team is no longer part of the Extreme Organization, but I do know the "Lutheran" family. I have known them before their daughter was old enough to play softball. What I can tell you is that you will not find more dedicated parents. LeAnn has worked with my daughter and I have seen many softball players of all levels that think she does a great job! The family is looking for their daughter to end up with a good organization and they don't want people to read posts from upset parents who elude that the Jenkins family are the ones posting. If anyone wants to know how they feel or their stance all they have to do is get in contact with them.

Dino, Jenkins family, and all others associated with this long standing Extreme 00 post, I wish you all the best luck. Maybe everyone should concentrate from here forward, not on the past!

I feel confident enough to speak for most of us who have no association with this org when I say "AMEN" to moving forward. Maybe this entire post should go away for the season and the new 10s can pick it up again next year.

I think, though, that the "old timers" are having too much fun to let it die.
Like watching a car wreck or a hockey fight, I keep tuning in as well! tsk tsk tsk

Good luck to all in States and Nationals or WS or wherever you are going. The NSA A State tourney does not have too many teams signed up, but should be good competition.

I don't remember saying anywhere about being proud of no longer being a part of Xtreme. I said I was proud of my team and things are going well for us now. I have not, nor will I ever, air out any of the dirty laundry that went along with not only the release of the two players, or the dirty laundry of our team being released from the organization on this thread. It is a private matter that involves individuals, from the Xtreme board, to its families, past and present, on down to those of us who were "ostracized" as you put it. There has been enough HURT from this situation, and it would do all some good to put it in the rear view mirror.

I simply was posting in response to the playing up thing, and have gotten a little over all this. Some on here like to create new names and keep "dancing in the shadows"...

BReal, you either were a part of things that happened with the team, or you only know one side of the story, I can assure you there is always another side...

SlapperDad, I will most certainly look you up and have a friendly chat next time, and if you see me, please do the same. You were nameless and faceless to me until I "connected the dots"... I honestly thought you were someone else... I am not an "old timer" to Heybucket, so I do not know who everyone is...

PRDPOP:

About the Gators playing-up. I was at the same tournament watching a family member playing 14 age. I watched the Gator team play between our games and innings. Are you associated with this Gator team? If so, be proud. Fundamentally strong and disciplined. An impressive offense and defense for playing-up. I saw the Gator rightfielder throw out a girl at third base tagging up from second base. Really? What a strong team of little 10yo girls. Oops, I shouldn't say little there is one girl taller than all the others even coaches and umpires on the field. Tell me this girl plays basketball?

Riseball- classy.

It is very easy to walk away from a situation when the going gets tough but shows true character to stick it out and honor a commitment you made to a team.
