Top North Texas teams to watch in '08

Kyle Strickland is the glue that holds this group together, as long as he is there things will be just fine. Shannon is a beast and so is Strickland's daughter, Jordan. These two have top D1 talent and if the rest of the team gets close to them in level of play then LOOK OUT.

With all due respect to Chanin and Jordon, you didn't even name the best player on this team.

I know that this basically skipped their second year as a 14U team to start playing 16U. Are their players a big mixture of all ages?

If they are as good as everybody think then will they go Gold next year?

My advice to this Glory team would be to take all of the girls that are ready, which is about all of them and move the entire team to gold and stay together as a team. I would hate to see this group chopped into 2-3 groups and lose all of the chemistry they currently have. We'll have to see what the coaches do after 16-U Nationals.

Won't happen. The Gold system isn't designed that way. And as a group, they are not ready for Gold ball. Got to have pitching for Gold.

Maybe not all will be ready but the majority of them are ready to make that step. Some will need to be in a role where they can learn as they go while some of them are ready to contribute today. This group is a lot like the group I had at this age a couple of years back. Some hard work and possibilities are endless.

I recently found the '93 Bat Busters McClasky web site, they look like a team to be reckon with.
check out their web site.

Tryouts are winding down. After all the hoopla and musical chairs, who ended up with the best 16-U and gold teams in North Texas. Play begins in a few days and it will shake out in the dirt I suppose but curious as to who went where and who thinks they will be in the running to qualify gold and or be a serious contender at 16-U HOF.
