ASA Disney National Qualifer

by Krush Softball » Sun Jun 05, 2011 7:30 pm

Congratulations to American Athletics-Kay for securing the first of two births to ASA 14U Nationals. Also to USA Athletics-Eveland for obtaining the second birth. A big thank you to ASA, Disney, and grounds crew at the fields in Norco. Also wanted to mention the snack bar, crazy good with great food and fast service.

Since both of these teams are listed to play next weekend at State, and the brackets are already posted, what happens now???
New Brackets? or a Bye for the teams they were supposed to play???

I believe the teams they were suppose to play gets a BYE unless they rearrange the brackets as teams start to drop off when they qualify for Premiere like So Cal Athletics and Corona Angels - Lockman.

Congratulations to American Athletics - Kay and USA Athletics - Eveland for making Nationals. I heard from a friend of mine that So Cal Choppers coach ripped his team apart for not qualifying after losing to AA - Kay and USA - Eveland at the same tournament. What an asshat ...........

Congrats to the finalists. I heard this was a 4 team tourney. Where can I find the scores from all the games?

It was actually a 5 team double elimination format. The teams entered were:
USA Athletics-Eveland
American Athletics97-Kay
SoCal Choppers
SoCal Crunch
CA Desperados

USA Athletics over CA Desperados
SoCal Choppers over SoCal Crunch
American Athletics over USA Athletics
American Athletics over SOCAL Choppers
CA Desperados over SoCal Crunch
USA Athletics over CA Desperados
USA Athletics over SoCal Choppers

Ship - USA Athletics over American Athletics

note: ASA went to AA's and was going to hand them the championship for being in the winners bracket and due to time constraints for fields time, or offered a one game winner take all. AA's played the game.
