HS playoff predictions?

by Sabertooth » Tue May 31, 2011 11:08 am

I wasn't going to comment on the Woodlands/Tomball series until I read the posts. It was a great series, I saw 2 of 3 games including Saturday night. Bunch of very good ball players going at it, with all they had! I too, have no dog in the hunt, other than being a softball fan. And yeah, my dd plays. I was distressed in hearing about this Tomball fan/fool, ridiculing Paige during warm up. I was standing on the Woodlands side. I guess I was not aware of the incident because I had a complete fool standing next to me acting the same way. This Bafoon is MFing this and that. F'ing this what a $hit bag that. We were standing just inside the wall next to home plate. This "thing" is going off on the girls from Tomball spewing nothing but garbage out of his mouth the whole game. So, a lady (apparently he's not used to being around one) next to him tells him enough of the cursing, before I get the opportunity. Now I know that Texas High School sports brings a certain intensity with it, we wouldn't have it any other way. But, apparently this guy is well known in The Woodlands crowd, obviously the Tomball guy was too. And neither is representative of the human race. SO, I'm thinking that these fools should have been told way before hand (like 10 years), proper etiquette around High School sports venues. You know where, children and ladies are present. Cheer for your Team, never belittle an opposing athlete. Good Lord people. Didn't your Mama spank your A$$ when you were a kid? I suppose the wannabees were out on both sides. Seems a shame for such a great series. The only thing wrong with youth sports..........is "adults"!

As is usual...seems it is always the ones that have nothing to do with the game that do the most to screw it up! In their bizarre view, trash talking makes them the athlete they could never be when they were young!

tomballcoogfan wrote:Muzenewz you are right about the actions from the parent at Tomball being totally uncalled for while Paige was warming up. I have never seen anything like that. This man is a misrepresentation of the Tomball parents and it’s a shame. Tomball parents have girls that have played with the Woodlands girls since 8U and there is no way ridiculing any of the Woodlands players is something that should be tolerated. Someone had to lose the game and both Tomball and Woodlands parents knew this and it’s hard rooting against girls that you have played with and supported for years. The Dad in question is actually a coach for Impact Gold, so you would think he would know better. I would think Impact Gold would not want this man representing their team on a national level. It was sad to see Tomball’s coach have to ask his daughter twice to go talk to him to shut him up. How embarrassing for her as this was done right before the announcing of the players. The police had to talk to him as did the Tomball administrators and he just thought it was funny. Something must be wrong with his self esteem as muzenewz stated. Tomball parents were embarrassed by him.

I also get tired of seeing comments posted by people that try to speak for Tomball when they don’t know. The comments from Lunatic Fringe pregame about there being no contest between Woodlands/Tomball is not how Tomball parents feel. It’s obvious to figure out who Lunatic Fringe is since he posts picture of his daughter. She is a freshman JV player that is moving to the new Tomball high school next year. His comments are not even worth being considered as an opinion of any Tomball parent on varsity, because I don’t even know that he is friends with any of the varsity parents. These parents knew that a matchup between WoodlandsTomball would be good games and a fight to the end as they were.

Rexintex had it right about the love between the girls between each team. It’s there and the parents of these girls know it. We are a close community and the Woodlands coach even said that in his interview. I have never seen so many fans at 1 game, much less the 3 games that were watched by so many and the girls were cheered on by so many positive fans (minus one). I don’t know if Rexintex was right to say that Woodlands is the better team. I think they are evenly matched with even more players at Tomball that are committed to big schools. I think Tomball was just outcoached. Give credit to the Woodlands coach for what he has accomplished. Good luck to the Woodlands at state!

I dont know about Tomball having more kids committed to big colleges. Tomball has 6 committed to play D1 and so does The Woodlands.

Tomball has 1 committed to play D2 and The Woodlands has 1 going to probably the best JUCO in the country.

Softball doesn't get much bigger than UCLA! For the last few years, Georgia is not far behind that.

No,"Woodlands Guy” can come on here and defend himself if he wants to. I was commenting to you. I was there and saw you hide behind your Ladies skirt all night. :o Then you come on here and chest pound with a holier than thou attitude. Embellishing the story for status and posting untruths. :roll:

I predict that the supposedly "overhyped" The Woodlands High School will beat Pearland in the State 5A Semi-Final Round Friday in Austin by a score of 6 to 0;

AND I predict that the supposedly "overhyped" The Woodlands High School will beat San Antonio O'Connor in the State 5A Finals in Austin by a score of 7 to 5 to win the Texas State 5A Championship;

AND I predict that the supposedly "overhyped" The Woodlands High School will be the consensus, unanimous USA National Champion and #1 team in the NATION according to ESPN Rise, CBS Sports/MaxPreps; USA Today/NFCA; TGCA, etc. etc, etc. and every other rating/ranking organization there is in the country!

CONGRATS TO THE 2011 TEXAS STATE AND 2011 USA NATIONAL CHAMPION LADY HIGHLANDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
