Who are the big tough teams at 10u level A?? are there any?

by Wagner » Wed May 18, 2011 4:16 am

i think the planets would have to align for all those teams to come up this way for a tournament...........so far the only one who has come up to play us has been the heat. come on tim, bring your team up and maybe the others will follow lol!! i would drag my grill and smoker out to the fields (provided imagination glen would let me) and feed all the players from each team if thats what it would take!!

If we could have planned for it earlier then we definitely would have taken a loan out or a second mortgage for gas and come up that way! LOL!

Maybe next year we can plan this stuff out better.... I'll have my peoples call your peoples and we will coordinate schedules better next year.

Gators 2001 missed Sparks as well, but headed to Stingray's in July! Planning trips to Sparks, Lasers, and Stingray's next year! Has anyone been to GAPSS? Heard it is a good one too.

Ok, i'm sure there are some parents on here or Tim maybe you can chime in. Went to Brownsburg to watch Gators 2001, Heat, and NWI Sox. When I got there someone informed me that the Heat were not coming and there was no more Indiana Heat. Any truth to this? Good team, that would be a shame! To the game, Gators beat NWI Sox 3-2 in pool. Niether team hit well, but Gators defense and base running won this one. A bases loaded sqeeze play pushed across run to tie game and they pushed across what would be winning run on agressive/hheads up baserunning. Both teams look to pretty solid, but didn't seem to have their best. Gators pitching (pitched 2) didn't look as good as normal, but still pretty good. Sox pitcher was nice, had a couple walks that came back to haunt them. Love watching the talent that is in 10U this year!!!!!!!!!!

Indiana Heat 10U still exist but currently is not playing games right now until we regroup. Unfortunately, do to letting an assistant coach go, there is some turmoil and another team is trying to be formed being call the Indy Ambush, stripping away the bulk of the Indiana Heat players. You can possibly add the Indy Ambush to the growing list of 138 and counting 12U teams for fall of 2011 I guess.

Indiana Heat is doing its best to regroup for the remaining 10 year old girls who are at home crying this weekend because the team dissolved over night and we wasted $375 for a tournament. The workings had been going on for weeks to months.

Unfortunate situation as it was a talented group of girls that I have enjoyed coaching from the time my daughter starting playing 4 years ago. I wish those girls all the luck, they have many memories to look back on and I hope they create many more with their future team/teams.

Thanks

Ambush will turn into four other 12U teams by the fall. :o
