Here's my shot at the rankings. While it is somewhat of a reshuffling of the same teams that tenshun listed It's hard to gauge teams or add them to this list if they don't play against these teams to show what they have. The teams on this list all regularly play eachother or are in similar tournaments. It's hard to say how well a team outside of the these teams will do against them unless they play then.

On to the rankings.

Let me preface this by saying I do NOT have a DD on any of the teams on the list.

1. TC Smash - Nuff said on these guys they are beasts so far. Can they keep it up?
2. Breeze 98 - Rock solid well rounded team overall. Would like to see them play Smash in a tournament final. That would be an exciting game.
3. Foothill Gold - They have made me a believer. Good hitting. Good #1 pitcher that handcuffs alot of batters.
4. Dirt Dogs 98 - Have to say I've only seen them play a few times, that being said their defense and hitting impressed me.
5. Sorcerer 98 - Great D and the best small balling team in the top 10.
6(tie). Hotshots 98 - I was torn between Grapes and Hotshots here so I put them in a tie. They have a chance to move up if they keep doing what they are doing.
6(tie). Grapes RV - Have had some impressive showings lately. Good hitting and solid pitching.
8. Storm 98 - Good mixture on this team.
9. Lady Sharks - Couple of good pitchers and some good hitters.
10. RRGold 99 - Strongest 99 team... playing very well. Look out next year.

Blockster, you are the essence of the TDBFR system. Well done.

Thank you all for the PMs. Per your requests, Tenshun's ranking has been updated on page 1.

I love people that go around asking umpires what happened after a youth softball game (like it is some news worthy event or something). Its like I cant wait to follow the blue to the parking lot to find out what happened, seriously? I almost love it as much as a 10U coach telling a 9yr old little girl, "you lost the game for us", real good stuff. People you need to get over yourselves

I spoke to him as a friend because I knew he was at that tournament. At the time I did not know he was behind the plate for that game. I can say he is a man of integrity and a very calm person. Two very sought after qualities in a man and an umpire. He did not deserve the disrespect shown to him.

All I can say about Fresno is that there a lot of girls (who work their butts off) that will be playing to win that tournament. I cannot in good conscience show them disrespect by saying "there are no good teams playing there", that is for others to say.

I know there will be some great softball played by great players. They will play in games to remember long after this website and it's posters are long gone.

Good luck girls, have fun and above all play hard.

Pitchersdadd99 --I am glad you know this ump , I think his name is Conrad.....Can you please pass on a message,

It was a little confusing as a bystander when the ump regulated the coach to dugout. In this I mean , it wasn't really clear what he was wanting. In hindsight he was basically kicking the coach out, but this intention wasn't initially clear.
I say this as , through all the years of softball playing, most umps will tell a coach to go to his dugout as a means of hey...go cool off, we are done discussing and we are resuming game...which I get.

So it seemed to be that...go to dugout, ... but then wait....as the game continued and he kept yelling at coach it was obvious there was a misunderstanding, which I believe he then was getting upset by as he felt he wasn't being listened to...but it was really kinda a weird thing...get in dugout don't want to see face, does that mean your out/but not really out?

and through this misunderstanding escalated to him ending the game...(without f bombs by the way ..)

So please tell him next time...Kick Coach out if warranted , but the whole go to dugout ...then don't want to see your face clause/point...is maybe not a great way to go.. not to mention inflammatory to the situation-Which I believe is the opposite of what he would be trying to accomplish-as the goal should be to finish the game as long as it is safe for the girls.

Thanks :D

Someone's post earlier in this thread got me to thinking...who are the most underrated teams in 12u? Which teams consistently put out good performances but seem to be low on everyone's radar?

Wow Blockstr, don't even have Grapes NW ranked. How the mighty have fallen.

I wasn't there at Hemet but heard NW team did well for first tourney after #1 defection rite before going to Hemet. More cohesion, unity & no more egos now. Heard Breeze also cheated them on Sunday but that's the Breeze, no surprise there. Gotta make sure you keep track of their scorebook :o

Big props to Sorce 98 & Grapes Vasquez, represented well in SoCal.
