Love your comment...."Wakeup, Travel the State?? These guys can barely leave the 465 loop" it sounds like you are familiar with these Indy teams. We will be close to your "465 Loop" on two occasions this season, ASA Qualifier in Martinsville, and Brownsburg "Battle of the Bats" ...we are looking forward to leaving the Region and playing different teams.

Oh boy! Bake and Looking In are buddying up again on this post. I thought I took care of you two a long time ago!!!
Okay Bake and Looking In, I will tell you one more time "Use the Private Message button"
It did shut the two of you up for at least a month or so last time.
By the way, the Martinsville tournament and the Battle of the Bats tournaments are not very strong tournaments. Why waste the gas money. That's a lot of money for a trophy fellas!!!
Everyone should look up the Gators and the Indiana Heat schedules and you will see where to play competition.
I can't find a tournament that the Gators host but the Indiana Heat host two NSA tournaments and can't get anybody to come play them. That is pretty sad...... I'm assuming if the Xtreme or Gators host a tournament, no one would come and play them either. At least it looks like the Magic and the Crush are stepping up to come and play at the Indiana Heat hosted tournaments. Good for them!!! They will in turn get BETTER!!!! Thank goodness my daughters are out of that watered down, trophy hunting 10U age group. Good teams can't find anyone to play and bad teams run around looking for the weakest tournaments just to get trophies.

Hey RiseballCoach thanks for the compliment I really appreciate that, yes as a matter of fact my DD back does give her some problems from time to time!!
You have been on this disscussion board long enough to have read my post (explaination) from 5 or 6 weeks ago, the way we EARNED our bid has not changed!!!! and what is the big deal anyway??
Last year Indiana had no representation at the USA/ASA 10u National Tournament, and the way it looks right now we will probably be the only Hoosier team at the 2011 ASA Nationals, we are very pleased to go represent our state in Johnson City.

While watching these games I was reminded of what travel ball should be. IMHO travel ball teams should be a group of 10 or 11 players that are solid or studs if you will. I have to say it was
a lot of fun to watch them play. As watered down as travel has become this is a rare instance.

This team had girls from: Dreams, Voltage, Freedom, Red Chix and Game FX.

I just wish about half the travel teams would go away and half the girls would go back to Rec. Then Travel Ball would be competitive again. Just my opinion!

I agree. My DD was the one from Game FX and don't we all wish the rec players would go back to rec and more than half the Teams would fold. This will never happen and I think it is only going to continue to get worse. Look on eteamz or active.com there are so many Teams still looking for players. Here is a hint if your team isn't full fold and do us all a favor. That may sound harsh but Travel is way to watered down.

Please don't say that you are representing the state of Indiana for 10U ASA nationals. OMG!!! Can we please get the Gators, Xtreme, Edge, Heat, Bulldogs..... someone...... to go instead! This team's coaches won't even come down and play the toughest teams in central Indiana. They know 10U is all about NSA and not ASA. What a joke!!! Not even coming to NSA A State either.  Now that's an organization for ya! Just another example of watered down travel ball chasing trophies at the 10U level. Step it up fellas!!

I dont have a dog in this fight, BUT having been around enough and watched the Heat over the last few years I have a pretty good idea why teams may not want to play in their tournament and it really has nothing to do with being afraid of their abilities

Thanks but we are simply having our fields borrowed for an NSA tournament for those weekends. Indiana Heat is not in a position to entice anyone to come. We are greatful to be able to host the tournaments for our small town and bring in some business to the community.
