The list for the Hall of Fame qualifier is below so from the looks of it most top NTX 98 teams will be there. I think there is some top 12U Houston teams missing isn't there? I can think of one Pearland Panthers???

22's Dad(Smash) I think or both of you are on the Smash, on your earlier question about the Money Tournament. Glory Adkins and Fusion will be there. Top two teams in NTX IMHO.

This money tournament is the beginning of some great 12U Texas softball.

12U Texas Fusion (12A) - Tony Rosales
98 TX Glory Adkins (12A) - Keith Allen
98 Texas Glory (12A) - Gary Kyser
98 Texas Rage Alvin Tx (12A) - David Rowton
98 Texas Vortex (12B) - Reese Gardiner
98 Tomboys (12A) - Matt Davis
99 DBAT (12B) - marty streetman
99 DBat Black Sox (12B) - Troy Vinson
Austin Storm (12A) - Phil Koehler
Austins Finest 12u (12B) - Juan Arellano
Dallas Tigers Burchfield (12B) - Greg Burchfield
Ft Worth Batbusters Rhine (12A) - Mark Rhine
Houston Power (12A) - Sandy Mader
Katy Force 98 (12A) - Kelly Clark
Lady Rage 98 (12A) - Mark Guerrero
McKinney Fireballs 98 (12B) - Rob Meyers
Team Mizuno Houston (12A) - John Cumpton
Texas Aces Express (12A) - Holly Fay
Texas Bombers 98 (12A) - Pablo Terrazas
Texas Glory Blue 99 (12B) - Danny Molina
Texas Legendz (12A) - Doug Hern
Texas Peppers 98 (12A) - Kyle Boucher
Texas Peppers 99 (12A) - Tiffany von Gontard
TPS 98 (12A) - Jody McBride

We are actually with the Katy Force. My DD played with Smash last Summer
through Nationals. Thank you for the list. Good luck to all.

Fusion is a good team but not ready to be called a top 14U team. The pitcher they lost was good and although the other 2 are good, they are not the 2 best in the area as was stated in an earlier post. It's interesting how all of a sudden there are a lot of people saying they are the best and the thing they all have in common in that it's their first post. Slow down Fusion parents, you're good but the other top 12U teams are right there with you. If you were to take the 8 best teams in NTX and put them in a double-elim tournament once a week for 2 months; I'd lay a good amount of money that you'd see at least 4 of them win it at least once.

That's the beauty of this game, despite all the parents living vicariously through their daughter's saying they're the best, it's up to a bunch of 12 year olds who probably don't care about who's the best as much as the parents do.

justawatcher wrote:Ok so I think it's about time to get the poll going. One last chance to add a team. Here's who made the list so far:

98 Glory
98 Pride
98 Fireballs
98 Fusion
98 Glory Adkins
98 Batbusters (Rhine)
98 Vortex
98 Rip
98 TFS
99 Glory Blue
99 D-Bat

I would respectfully say that you should delete the 5 listed on the bottom + Pride because the only votes they'll get would probably be from parents of kids on the team. They are all good clubs but don't have the resume to be considered with the best of the best for 12U. You could perhaps list "other" and I'd venture a guess it wouldn't get too many votes.
Anyone else?

Liveintex I would have to definitely agree with that, especially on your hypothetical 2 month tourny format. That you would have 4-5 different winners. Fusion is a good team as is Glory-Allen, Pride,FB 98,Glory 98, BB RHine.....I think its just great to see NTX well represented with these teams.

I agree with liveintex. The bottom 5 teams have not proven themselves yet. Pride 98 will be interesting as they lean heavily on their 97 player/s - not sure how good they are without that player as I have never seen them play without her. Regardless they belong as their 98's are solid. I also agree on the 2 month view as the top 6 is as good as it gets when they get rolling. Fusion is the best today but feel that by nationals allen team will be the first to qualify. Good luck to all.

I agree with the top 6 minus 98 Pride. You can't be considered as one of the top 12U teams if you play with 97's plus I have heard first hand they are not making a run at Nationals because they dont want to play without the 97's. They are going to the 14U Co Sparkler instead. I think everyone agrees it is a 5 team race. I just hope one or more make it to AL. I for one will be cheering for any of these five in Nats as they are all fine teams that are very well coached and all play with class. North Texas should be proud to be represented by any of these 5 teams in Nats

What about the 98 Breeze. I hear they are supposed to have a great team and an outstanding head coach as well. Anybody see them play recently? Should they be included in this list.

I will try to respond to the last several posts in one post:

I'm creating a poll for the people, by the people. If everyone is in agreement that some teams should not make the list, I'll drop them. I put only the teams that were suggested. I'm not going to remove a team from this list because they haven't "proven themselves." If I did, the list would be blank because all any of those teams have done is won weak local tournaments, bragged about Panama City, or maybe made a trip to Southern Nats. Let's be real here.

The D-Bat team on the list is Streetman. I will clarify in the poll.

Pride has 1 97. I have no idea if they are going to nats or not. If everyone thinks that catcher is enough of an impact player that they need to not make the cut, I'll take them off. She's not, but this is your poll. I did notice that they are not signed up for hall of fame. I would probably agree with taking them off myself. If you're not going to play real ball, it's hard to be considered for a "top" list.

Liveintx is correct. Fusion is not a 14U team and should not be talked about in that discussion. I'm not even sure where that came from but they cannot compete at 14U. (Real 14U, not a bunch of 98s playing in a 14U.)

Tomboys, Dbat Black Sox, and Dallas Tigers are all at hall of fame. Anyone supporting these teams?

98 Breeze-never seen them play. We will look for them at hall of fame and make a determination then I guess.

98 Texas Vortex is the 98 Texas Breeze identical team with only a name change. My daughter played on the 14U Breeze team that folded after just one season. Sad because it was a pretty good team. The Breeze organization was not heading in a positive direction so the 98 team just changed names before they even started. I am suspect of ball hawg as I am sure it was another jab as for some reason another new user name has been created to say something dumb  The recent post have been enjoyable and I agree stick with the top 5 minus the pride as they are not currently registered for the Hall. My prediction will be Allen and Fusion move on to Alabama. Not sure if the other 3 are consistent enough to win big games back to back which will be required when playing the best of the best. But would not rule them out as they all are solid teams. In the end I am rooting for all of these teams as they are all represent NTX in a positive manner.
