Who are the big tough teams at 10u level A?? are there any?

Agreed! All three look very close. Gators and Heat played 3 times, 2 2-run games and 1 1-run game. Xtreme and Heat played really close as well. Gators played poorly on both sides of Xtreme game, but have played many close games in past. Looks like a competitive year. Too bad Edge wont come to these tournaments to compete with these guys.

The first game between the C.P. Bulldogs and N.L. Lightning was an awesome battle with Crown Point scoring the winning run in the bottom of the last inning. The second game between the two teams was close until the last inning when the Lightning hit line drives all the way through the order and scored a number of runs in that inning. I also don't remember any Lightning strikeouts in the second game. Hats off to them for all the hits and no strikeouts! However, nothing against the Lightning, but the C.P. pitching didn't appear to be as good as it has in the past...maybe the cold?????? These are two evenly matched teams that should be fun to watch in the future!

I agree. As someone who stayed around to watch these teams play, I was curious to watch the chemistry of the Heat and Xtreme team after the player moves... It looks as if the Xtreme team is the team to watch out for currently as they are deep hitters and have very good defense, pitching was a given as they have a solid workhorse pitcher and the 2nd pitcher is at the least, as good, if not better than what they let go. Seeing as how they have already beat Crown Point this year and now the Heat and the Gators (again), I can't wait to see the Worth tourn. The best of the best for sure.

After this weekend I don't think I would include Crown Point as one of the top teams in the area. I don't know much about indy teams but the bulldogs looked bad on Sunday. They couldn't hit or field anything. At one point it looked like their infielders just quit going after the balls. I hope it was just an off day cause they are a fun team to play but have to admit even funner to beat.

Anyone know why the Xtreme pulled out of the Worth Tournament to go to a less competitive one? Why would they want to play against teams that they know they can beat and not against teams in their same level of competition? Just wondering since everyone says they are the team to beat......

There was a justified reason, unrelated to the competition that was there. We would prefer to play the best teams every weekend, although we thought it would be best to go to CG that weekend instead now. We are looking forward to playing the Sparks Invitational, NSA A State, and Bat Wars.

Bulldogs were most certainly "off" on Sunday. Lightning pitchers were good and they hit the ball hard in the second game. They are a very good team. Dogs need to figure some things out, quickly!

There isn't a tournament in CG that weekend? Xtreme is still listed on the NSA website as attending the Worth.

There is a USFA tournament at CG that weekend. Obviously not the competition of what the Worth tourney has, but it is what it is.
