June 17 - 19 Premier Girls Fastpitch 18u National Qualifier Huntington Beach, California

June 24 - 26 Premier Girls Fastpitch 18u National Qualifier Stockton, California

July 8 - 10 Premier Girls Fastpitch 18u National Qualifier McKinney, Texas

July 15-17 Impact Gold Louisville Slugger College Exposure Houston, Texas

July 22 - 24 TCS Rising Stars Summer Showcase Davie/Plantation, Florida

Aug & Sept TBD

October 29-31 Ronald McDonald 18U College Exposure Houston, Texas


Team Texas 18u April Open Practice Dates and Times:


April 4th -- SMGSL Field #8 from 6 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
April 7th -- Indoor Practice Facility from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
April 9th -- SMGSL Field #8 from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Team Texas 18U plays out of South Montgomery Girls Softball League and is coached by Robert & Tonetta Andaya.

The Andaya's have been coaching for four decades and are definitely "old school" - stressing team work, fundamentals, and conditioning. Robert's daughter was the winning pitcher when Texas A&M won the College World Series in 1987 and more recently she was 1 of only 10 players named to the NCAA Division I 25th Anniversary Team along with Jennie Finch, Lisa Fernandez, etc.

I see something for Team Texas show up every so often but have never seen them or heard of them on the field. Just curious.

Lunatic, I'm curiuos too. When and where have they played? I see annoucements on them yet, haven't seen the Team?

According to their old eteamz postings, they are probably in Japan, China, Australia or Europe this time of year. I hear Ray-Ray is doing an awesome job pitching.

I believe I remember seeing them last summer at the local ASA Gold qualifier and also and the Premier qualifier. If this is the team I remember, they were small kids, lots of slappers and were in a track position to start their leadoffs. I don't recall seeing them all fall, but that doesn't mean much the way the showcases are spreadout between NJ, Florida and Houston, could have just missed them.

I've seen them quite often, nothing to write home about. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for Mavfan is correct that they start in a track position on the bases.
