10U SOCAL TOP TEAM RANKING FIRST POLL 1/2011 - (2011 SEASON)

This is my Unofficial Top 10" According to Vegas and other tournaments played.

1. Team Watley - St. Paddy's Day Blast Champs. Strong pitching

2. OC Mizuno - St. Paddy's Day Blast 2nd place. The biggest surprise in Vegas taking out good teams. Big bats This team can HIT.

3. So Cal Thunder- This team played some good games. Pitching struggles as with bats. Nice showing in Vegas

4. Strikeforce - Pitching needs to be more consistent. Poor showing in Vegas

5. Gamers - Pitching is good but can not conquer the hill in tourneys. Decent in Vegas

6. Corona Angels - Still in the mix good overall team, big bats. Did not show up in Vegas

7. So Cal Stealers - Looked good early. Still have potential. Did not show up in Vegas

8. Rage - Good pitching. Did not show up in Vegas


9. X-Protex - Seem to be on right track. Decent showing in Vegas.


10. Artesia Punishers- Won losers bracket in Vegas but got knocked out early in regular. Okay overall.

Talksalot maybe you should quit talking so much and do some observing. Your rankings are hilarious they could not be any more a$$ backwards...Mizuno # 2...REALLY...they came in 2nd place in one tournament...LMAO...

10U SOCAL TOP TEAM RANKING Nothing about 18 gold, don't get your panties in a bind if your team was not listed higher. Its just my opinion. If you would like to post teams who you think rank higher or lower please do so.

This it too funny hearing parents drunk off the Kool Aid the organization gives them. What does an 18u Gold team or a big org do for your 10u daughter at this stage of her softball development besides take your money in monthly dues, invite you to a Christmas party and giving you a rec ball coach who plays daddy ball??? At 10 & 12u level it's ALL about having a great coach to develop your DD while at 14U + it will start to have some importance as to the organization you play for. Stop drinking the 10u Kool Aid they give you and start thinking about where the best team & coaching staff is that will develop your daughter to help her get to the next level . A name won't do that for you.

I agree 100% that you don't rank based on 1 tournament. I have watched these teams all year. Mizuno is much improved, but nowhere near #2. In all the games I"ve seen with them, they have used the same pitcher. That won't work! While Cal Thunder looked good, they're just starting out so it's too early to tell. Here's my take, and no I'm not affiliated with any of them.

1). Corona Angels: Solid Pitching, big bats (don't think the 2 lost were key players)
2). Watley: Best pitching, need improved bats.
3). Rage: Fundamentally the best
4). Strike Force: Looks like pitching has gone south
5). Stealers: Solid pitching, needs bigger bats
6). Gamers: Solid but can't get over the hump
7). Cal Thunder: Time will tell
8). Xprotex: Looked solid, lost 3 one run games.
9 & 10). Could be any of the 2: Firecrackers (don't see enough), Eliminators ( 3-0 in pool lost to Xprotex by 1), Mizuno (much improved), Punishers (inconsistent).
