The brackets are up this afternoon.

It looks like the Texas Elite (YG) have a straight path to a Nationals Bid. The Texas Sting and Texas Trouble could get bids if they play like they can. There will probably be a few suprises, but if its anything like the Gold qual. last weekend, its going to be a wild ride.

Who is the best teams here from your area? There are a few team here that I am not away of.

You mean Texas Elite (YG) are taking a break from USSSA to play an ASA tournament?

I thought that all TX Elite teams were now B teams and play nothing but USSSA tournaments where J.D. can stack the bracket so that the Elite teams get a few rounds deep before playing anyone.

Why the harsh words about the Texas Elite Organization? You also mentioned some very negative statements about JD and the brackets. Why? Does that make you feel better about yourself bashing a organization and players dedicated to the game of fastpitch softball? You guys crack me up. Umm, yea we are taking a break from USSSA to play ASA. Look at our past history & tournaments, we play alot of ASA tournaments. I bet these guys who are talking negative are the same guys that play the other org's (afa, usfa, etc). Good Luck to you guys this summer!

When I started the post, I had no idea that it was going to be a Elite (YG) bashing session. The YG's are a very good team and they will probably qualify this weekend. I would be willing to bet that they do good at Nationals also. I was not aware that they have not tried for ASA in the past. I do know that they have been good enough to make it over the years if ASA was their choice.

I do not know the Elite orginzation on a personal level like you north Texas people. I does seem to me that they have brought alot to Texas softball with just adding more tournaments. I have seen a little favoritism, but honestly say that you would not do the same. The teams still have to play and win.

I can tell that most of yall that responded do not know much about the 16U division. That was the point of this post. Stop talking crap and make solid posts about this topic.

I guess the Texas Elite YG decided to get their bid through the loser's bracket. Did their pitcher give up a 3 runs shot to the wall? Too many Dallas teams count their bid before they start playing. Talk on the field. I think the Texas Elite younger team and the Glory did that to the Prinzo 93 team earlier this spring in the Bombers tourney! They got to drive home a little earlier.
