I'm pretty sure you're wrong on this.

An essay is a short piece of writing which is often written from an author's personal point of view. Essays can consist of a number of elements, including: literary criticism, political manifestos, learned arguments, observations of daily life, recollections, and reflections of the author. The definition of an essay is vague, overlapping with those of an article and a short story. Almost all modern essays are written in prose, but works in verse have been dubbed essays (e.g. Alexander Pope's An Essay on Criticism and An Essay on Man). While brevity usually defines an essay, voluminous works like John Locke's An Essay Concerning Human Understanding and Thomas Malthus's An Essay on the Principle of Population provide counterexamples.

I don't see anything here about number of paragraphs...In fact, note the word "brevity".

Brevity: 1. The quality or state of being brief in duration. 2. Concise expression; terseness. [Latin brevit s, from brevis, short; see brief.]

One must conclude that, "Last time I checked, an essay consists of more than one paragraph" is a false statement. Please re-submit your response...

Cut and paste from a dicktionary (<---Just for Joe) site? OMFG Joe. You SUCK if that's all ya got !!!!

Good for you. Dude, do me a favor and just shut the frick up. Your opinions are antiquated and completely without merit as have been demonstrated by the responses to your posts. You still live in a time when June waited for Ward. The fact that you are involved in a women's sport is not only sad, but rather scary for the approach you have shown. You have turned what seemed like a good question into your own personal mantra to bash women. Anyone who refers to themselves in the third person obviously has deeper seeded issues than can be discussed here. So again, please just do the sport a favor and DO NOT give back to the sport! (Look, I used the spell check mom!)

That's a leading question your honor...

...but yes, many and for decades.

I'm disappointed, but not shocked that is your best comeback.

I'm glad it's the little things that entertain you. That way you should be fully enthralled with your little mind and well...well, you get the picture.

Indeed, it is the little things that I enjoy now...uhmmm...like seeing a dad (or mom) taking some time from their busy lives to coach their kid at a game...despite their lack of expertise because "they didn't play the game".
