'09-'10 season
Mater Dei knocked out round 1
El Modena knocked out round 2
Canyon knocked out round 1

Why would these 3 above mentioned schools be polled/ranked higher than the teams that are listed? There is no comeback for scoreboard, the schools currently listed are deserving based on the previous years success.
As the season progresses; the teams/polls/rankings will be sorted out.

Agree with you, alot of times a team gets hot at the end of the season and there's no stopping a team like that regardless of rankings.

Your statement contradicts itself. You mention one game above. If you look at the "seasons" 20+ win totals with core returning players, it usually amounts to something. Lets revisit in May :D

Let's re-visit in May, but let me put this in your head the teams that won CIF last year were never ranked in the top 5 of this list last year. Santa Margarita, Ayala, Upland. Some teams will always get a high ranking and never finish with the title. Maybe it should be teams with the most runners up.

Being on those lists is great for the girls. They get some well deserved pub and it is nice for the school.

As a coach who has had team in the rankings before, as well as being in ESPN Fab 50 this year, it just puts that much more pressure on every game you play. It is also unfair for the girls to win games, but not win by "enough." Kind of stinks..... but I would rather be on the list than not.
