HS teams and travel ball practice

Question for everyone. What is the rules regarding practicing with your travel team when playing HS softball? I know you cannot compete in a tourney but I have heard contradictory things regarding practice. Are players allowed to practice with their travel teams while they are in season?

According to the CIF bylaws it sounds as if it is only contests i.e. games, tourneys they are concerned with:

"A student on a high school team becomes ineligible if the student competes in a contest on an “outside” team, in the same sport, during the student’s high school season of sport (See Bylaw 511). The following exceptions apply"

This comes up every year, and many times (as happened a few weeks ago) the HS coaches give their players crap info as well.

HS Players can practice on any day of the week with their travel teams, not just on Sundays. They can not play in a game or scrimmage with their travel team after the HS teams have their first REAL GAME.l

In reality, not many travel teams would schedule practice on any other day besides Sunday as too many conflicts arise on any other days.
The HS can have ZERO contact with players on Sundays, thus the reason so many travel teams practice on Sunday..... they know their players will be free from any HS commitments.

If you live in San Diego County you can have no contact with your travel team.

Last year in NorCal it was limited to 2-hours per week that HS could practice with their travel team. That was supposed to be increased to 3-hours this year as per NorCal ASA.

HUh????NOrcal ASA has a rule stating HS players can only practice with their travel teams for 2 hours? Care to copy and past that from the section rules?

That is funny according to the CIF the High School Kids can practice all season and actually play for their travel teams up untill the girl participates with her high school team in an actual GAME (not a scrimage).
