teams getting started

by hittinseedz » Thu Jan 13, 2011 12:35 pm

The question is how many how many kids cant play at FC due to the pay for play, isnt it an outrageous amount at that school? They are one of those schools every year people expect big things from, and besides the state run a couple of years ago not too much come tourney time. Seems that she has a ton of talent, is it just due to a tough sectional or other reasons, from reading the responses of others it seems that she doesnt have too many fans

Good luck to all of the teams this year, should be an exciting spring / summer!

Wishing all the kids much success, but I'm a gambling man! Let's bet! It hasn't happened yet, so I'll play "with" the odds!

FC has had more talent than most teams could wish for! It's getting that talent to play together! Lots of drama, and the kids know if they are underclassmen they won't see much Varsity time! 9 seniors this year! They had 2 girls last year(sophs) already getting college looks and they play mostly JV! Where is the 5th-8th grade talent playing? I have a DD in that age group and i haven't seen it! Pay for play sucks, but it's only like $125 i think, haven't got the bill yet! We do have a tuff sectional, Center Grove, but should have gotten through more than we have!

if all that talent then the blame must go somewhere. How will NP recover from all their losses, sure they will still be strong but they lost some monster bats. Mount Vernon has alot of talent coming back, but that program never gets it done come tourney time. How will Scecina and Lutheran be, know that Lutheran lost the monster in the middle.

Scecina should be better. Addition of Alexis Tarver's bat will help them. Solid defensive player. Michelle Rogers will help bolster their pitching staff. I'm not sure if they're a contender for 2A yet or not, but they're closer than they were last year.

Snoop, everyone needs a break! Besides, my ears perk up when they start talking about the Skipper of F.C. and the Flashes to compete for another State Championship.

I have seen the so called great 8th grade players play. Are they good? Yes. But they are not over and above all there is out there. Unfortunately, many of these girls have only played for teams coached by their parents, or parents of friends. Have them go out and try to make another team, follow the rules of another coach. Yes, some will make it. Many will not. Many of the parents find it necessary to belittle the people that take the time to work with their kids. And we wonder why the kids act the way they do! Remember, without the coaches, there would be no teams. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, ITS MIDDLE SCHOOL SOFTBALL!
