Best Stall'ers - Who can Stall like no other!!!!

by sbfan » Tue May 27, 2008 6:52 pm

how in the world do u think stalling is unsportsmanlike. its part of the game until they take time out of it. I dont like it but its there and the coach's have to use it for there advantage.

I have seen some tourny's do the play 60 min finish the inning and then play one more inning. I like it and takes most of the stalling out of it.

So when your watching football and your team has the ball with 2:00 remaining and the coach chooses to run the ball or go into protect mode and take a knee to run out the clock...do you gete upset? NO because you are used to it being a part of the game.

The only time I ever hear of anyone complaining about "time management" is 14-U and below. The best way to prevent it is to not get behind. I have been on both sides of this and must say that it as worked for and against me over the years. I would always base my decision as to how much I would stall depending on how much the parents groaned in the stands. The louder they groaned, the more creative I would get. Blue can do nothing about it so long as you utilize the rules. I have had the blue tell me a thousand times..."were not gonna play another inning are we coach" which was my signal to slow down the game.

Once you get to "real ball" there will be no stalling or tactics. Pla 7 innings and the best team usually wins.
