10u division wide open

by m3speedy » Mon Dec 06, 2010 3:44 pm

After this weekend's AA tourney with most of the top teams playing it looks like it will be an interesting Spring season. Doesn't seem like any one team is that dominant yet but of course well see what happens during free agency in December/January to see where players move around to fill some of those teams gaps. Do you guys agree with me? What team do you think will make the most changes?

Here is my feedback on some of the teams I seen in alphabetical order: Please add teams you have seen & give additional feedback:

Angels - Well rounded team a lot of talent but very beatable
Eliminators - Don't have true #1.
Gamers - Well rounded but can't win the big games. Is SS a '99?
Punishers - Need bigger bats
Rage - Small but scrappy team. Need big bats
Strikeforce - Well rounded team & put it all together at AA
Watley - Best pitching but missing team chemistry & fielding.

I agree mostly with this post-
Watley has top pitching with the 2 powerhorses. but can be beat as seen and not a lot seen behind the pitching
Corona Angels looked like a good team. But after losing the short stop we will see if that hurts
Rage is small team. Pitching is fair and the bats get the job done. solid little team
Venom, is all talk. the rest of the top teams are playing each other they are no were to be seen. Winning tournaments with no one there.
Strike Force 00 looks good, good pitchers, solid defence, fair hitting, well coached
Gamers 00 looks good, great pitching combo, huge bats, average defence getting better. Wins will be coming soon enough with this team. and the Short Stop is a 2000

My guess

Strike Force, Watley, Angels, Firecrackers, Gamers, Rage

Im thinking these will be the teams heading to nationals this year. But with try-outs in January we will see who gets who and who loses who. All I know it will be a fun run to Nationals

Where's Allen Iverson when you need him.

Substitute "practice" for "10u".

Who cares? Other than over zealous ego driven parents and coaches.
I think, that I shall try to do the utmost to be new today

Sorry to upset you Venom , didnt mean too. Just havent seen you in any tournaments were the rest are playing. I did see you play a while back and you looked good, but I also knew you had a few 99's on your team. I also notice you in the next weeks tournament which again no one is going too. Last week had 4-5 of the good teams in it which was the place to go.

Some advice, These top teams are not going to come to you out in Alpine. You have have to go to them. Enter tournaments with other known teams. Check thier websites and find out were they are playing and follow.

Good Luck coach and see you out there.

Don't count out the Eliminators. After picking up one of the best catcher's in 10U with a big bat, we have been very competitive. This includes wins over the Gamers and Rage, two on the list. Still a ways to go, but getting there. Also, I heard that Rage was going back to
rec-ball. :D
