The Platinum organization is run by Texas Exes... So why not bring in another Texas Ex into the mix? I wouldn't say that the Stars is a better organization than the Platinum, they both have young ladies that have commitments to very good schools.. Platinum's pitcher just committed to Ole Miss as well as another one committing to Blinn...not to bad for a organization that just started a little over a year ago.

Cat left the DePaul Softball coaching job in August, saying she was taking some time off and wanted to continue to play ball. This would be a big catch for Platinum and Central Texas softball. Cat did lessons and did some coaching for the Austin Storm a number of years ago. Pitchers loved her lessons, especially developing new pitches, and I hear she was a great coach on the Storm.

But then again "You have done and know it all Joe". So nothing should surprise us.

I do have to comment that the Austin Stars do have a good program. Rollie and Placido have turned out some good ballplayers and have built some good relations with college coaches around the area and further north.

Unless Cat pitches for them.....i wouldnt worry about platinum. The ole miss pitcher was good before going there.....im sure if she pitched for glory,impact,power....etc.....she still would have found her way there...ormaybe even a better school......i mean ole miss isnt a elite program by any means. Give the kid credit. As for blinn.....most elite programs can put a kid there. Platinum still a young program......but we should give more time to prove themselves before sending all our DDs there. 15+ texas 16u teams made nationals last year....platinum wasnt one of them....give them more time....not your money

I think you missed the part where I said that this Platinum team is only a little over a year old. They, just like any other starting team, have their growing pains when they begin...gotta crawl before you walk... and they did take their lumps as a "young team". But I gotta give them some credit, they went looking for the competition, how do you expect them to or any other team to get any better if you don't get your butt whooped every now and then. Just this past fall season the Platinum went 22-3 playing in exposure tourney's in Houston and Dallas area... The coaches even got a few of their girls onto a team out of Hawaii to play in the Colorado Fireworks tourney, only because the Platinum was a new team and wasn't able to get in. How many teams/coaches can pull those kinda strings for their players??? Money well spent in my eyes..

What for because the idiot cannot the apostrophe use? The comma without use gives indication of the writing skills you are an imbecile...Why not the pie hole punctuation shut up without a clue to bypass the 2nd grade diploma? Capitalization remiss indicates the player left behind not a whether he/she dolt about what says on Heybucket...and a trash collector from on the now.

Have I made myself clear?
