Ray-Ray awsome pitching

What's on your mind?

by Blind Squirrel » Mon Dec 06, 2010 6:03 pm

Ali had Frazier.
Wilt had Bill Russell.
Dani has Ray-Ray.
10 years from now I'll wish I felt like I do these days.

Yes I suppose if daddy posted up RayRay's outings on a regular basis, that would "get old". Unfortunately, it appears that he does.
I humbly submit this recent post from RayRay's promoter:
"This awsome pitcher Ray-Ray from I.B. in Imperial Beach CA. was on her game, she and her team won the international tie breaker too beat a team from Brawley CA. en undefeated team were she had 17 strikeouts in 9 innings of play wht a work horse this 10u pitcher is.."

Well then. I agree that post doesn'r hurt me, but it is amusing and I do agree that it is all in fun so no harm, no foul. I miss 10u.

Ah yes, being proud of our kids is one thing and living through them is yet another. We all were crazy 8u and 10u parents once. A tournament director once told me after reading my 2 page email when the championship game got rained out and they refused to play the final in that ever important 8u tournament "believe it or not this doesn't matter. There will be many more tournaments in your DD's future, so let it go". Well six years later I have doled out that advise more than a few times. So with that said, congrats to Ray Ray for the world beating performance. Hopefully dad can share more of those if ray ray is still interested in 4 to 6 years. It's a long road brother pace yourself...

Relax - there was no hate. Some just offered good advice because they have all been there - proud of their kid for a lights out performance.

FWIW, its always better to undersell so Ray-Ray doesnt have such huge expectations to have to live up to every time out.

You'll understand soon enough.
