This is actually what happened. Before the game started. We met with the Coaches of Corona Angels and the representatives from TCS. It was agreed upon by both teams that because the lights would turn off at 10:15. No new inning at 9:45 and game would drop dead at 10:00pm and revert to the last completed inning, which was 2-1 Aztecs. The Corona Angels did tie the game on the last pitch of the game, now 2-2 they had a runner on base but time expired. We have since then played the at TCS Turkey Bash. We lost 3-0. They are a great team.

According to Aztec Coach, they had a meeting prior to the game and that was what they agreed to. I do agree, typically, if the home team is up and tie the game or go ahead then the score would (should) stand.

According to Aztec coach, it sounds like CA tied, not went ahead when time expired, which is different.
If they had gone ahead, then the score should have stood.
But it also sounds like they did what was agreed to by both teams at the home plate meeting before the game.

Both teams should be applauded for being in the final.

Interesting. I wouldn't have agreed to that. Drop dead for a championship game is just ridicules IMO. If it was a tie, I'd rather of done a coin flip. At any rate, aside from that, I'm sure the game was great.

They should have crowned co-champions. Time expired because Aztecs played the clock. Legit strategy I know, but if the situation had been reversed and Aztecs had tied it up in the bottom half of the inning, Lockman would have suggested co-champions and not reverted back for a tainted win.
