Will this be the year that a non-pitcher gets honored?

In the south a couple of names to watch would be Sam McClure (Floyd Central) and Leah Kemerer (Jennings County). Graduation might have hurt Floyd Central a little, but Jennings County certainly has the talent to make a deep run in the tournament. Kemerer is capable of being a dominating pitcher.

My brain may currently be clouded by cold medicine, but I cannot think of a dominant senior pitcher in the Indy/Central Indiana area this year.

I might have a slight bias, but Whitney Arion (Delphi High School) is as good as it gets. She doesn't get a lot of press because she is not in the Indy-Metro area and is not a pitcher, but would be among the top 2-3 players in Indiana in ANY defensive position (best 3rd baseman I have ever seen). She hits lead off or clean up with HR power and is very fast. The bigger the game, the better she plays. University of Louisville recruit.......real deal.

2 best hitters that I have seen in our area are the big masher from CG, who I think is only a sophomore so she wouldnt be eligible, and Cuebas from Greenfield Central. She ended up with the second most rbi in ihsaa history last season and hit over .500. I cant really think of a dominant senior pitcher in central indiana that is a senior, although the extra 3 ft. is going to make a lot of pitchers less dominant

The only pitcher I can think of in central Indiana is Katie Osborn from Carmel. With the returning players they have, they will be one of the favorites this spring.

Usually a pitcher, if not, some girls to consider:

Andrea Filler: Ft. Wayne Dwenger (Boston College)
Ashleigh Burkhardt: Ft. Wayne Dwenger (Purdue)
Jenna Simon Penn High School (Notre Dame)

Isn't Andrea Filler a pitcher on her Dwenger High School team?

You are right...I forgot that both Filler and Burkhardt pitch on their school team.
