Grey - Injuries are a bummer, I hope you guys are 100% this weekend, but realistically this tournament is not worth playing injured, come springtime no one will remember who won the RM.

Who won it last year RED HOTS?

Your right, I know last year we used this tournament as chance to gain experience and it was also our first exposure to the 2nd year teams as I am sure the 99's will be doing the same this year. We were slaughtered by the Red Hots in pool play like 13-0 or something but by the end of of this past Summer we beat them before heading to Indiana, so it all comes full circle. It should be great fun. Good Luck to all.

Yep. It was my kid on crutches. She slid on her knees to catch a line drive and took one off the kneecap. Good to go now but still doesn't have full range in that leg. Catching may be iffy this weekend but doctor has cleared her as long as she can handle it.

I say we have a little fun with it this is the biggest tournament in the fall. Lets not beat around the bush I'll take Sugar Land Smash. Who do you guys got? Please just one team should do.

Well I agree, the Smash can go far IF they pick up players like they always do. They can't win it with the "team" they have. But if they pick up a few Pearland Panthers and a few others that are not playing this weekend. Yes they can go far. But not beat TPS 98 even with the pick up players

Smash not doing bad. In the final 8 of the winners bracket without pick up players. They didn't get to play TPS 98 and their pick ups though!

Buzz defeats Smash and forfeits the if game. Co Champs it is. Smash took home the first place trophy.

Well So much for your line of thinking Krewl. Smash is very tough and dangerous when they are on their game. The looked solid all weekend. Congrats to Smash!

I'll have to give it to Smash. Best team out there....NO. Had easy Bracket.....YES. What they got to play the harder teams after the others had to battle back most of the day yep. Them winning Nationals....No don't see it. I have a daughter that plays 18U Gold who is a 14U player. I have been around softball for a long time, this is not my oldest daughter in softball. I have seen it all. It's like the big bullies of the tournament won. Your girls have pushed on other girls, call them losers etc....what sad is it's not the girls, it's the parents they learn it from. Maybe this year they have changed I hope so......

Congradulations to Smash for bringing home the 1st and to Buzz for playing very well this week end.

Saw some great games from the dd's this week end. Some teams didn't perform as expected and the UMPIRES were TERRIBLE AT BOTH LOCATIONS.

TPS 98 - Did not hit well the entire tournment, except the 20-0 win over HEAT 99. It just seemed they never got on track with their hitting.

FORCE - Started well but seemed to lose their momentum as they got to more experience teams in the brackets.

RAGE - Good well coached ball club. Should be in contention in all tournments they play in.

POWER - Like TPS their hitting never got started and made some defensive mistakes that cost them.

STORM ELITE - Need to work on Defense. Made alot of Mistakes.

Big Question? The cost for Umpires per game has gone up. WHY is it so bad. Is there anyone policeing there performance. I saw calls blew this week end that a child could make, and balls and strikes the pitchers and the hitters never knew where the strike zone was. WHAT can be done about this??????
