I really think it's a no-brainer, your daughter should not have to give up her number. Actually, it sounds like the beginning of many problems if this organization made such a stupid decision. I would actively look for a different organization.

Also, please remember that your daughter is only 13 years old.

Amen!!! I don't care if her dad was Bill Gates her team folded. Plus remember what happen to Brian Bosworth when he didn't get his number 44 Bo Jackson ran him over and his career was over! LOL :o Seriously if it's that big of and issue burn the jersey an give them both new numbers!!!

THE END!!!!
It's amazing what you hear and see at "THE SNACKBAR"

Thats a hard question to answer! But in South OC some of the best pole barns can be found at Capitain Creams and if Arto had it his way Oggi's. Moving closer to his house you have Taboo then Fritz Two and even closer Fritz One with the Pink Flamingo in between...this is where you find pole barns, chrome plated with low lighting! :D :D

Now THAT is inspired!

I want to know what a pole barn is, too! I don't think there are many of them in OC, but I better get one if I want my DD to get on a good travel ball team.
Seriously, have your daughter pick a three digit number. That will show 'em.

More seriously, your daughter could take one for the team and show her sportsmanship by accepting the new number. What goes around comes around and this simple act may be rewarded later. I really don't think college coaches pay too much attention to numbers. I'm not trying to skirt the principle of the issue, but if she comes up with the new number, some of her teammates might just learn another life lesson along the way.

Since this was nearly 3 years ago, she might not even be playing softball any longer let alone on the same team.

Oops! Didn't notice there were already 34 pages of posts on this! Now I'm going to have to read every post to try to figure out what a pole barn is and if the poster ever got resolution to the issue. I'm new to HeyBucket, so I guess I deserve a good hazing! Thanks for pointing this out!

After reading all those posts (on my lunch hour, of course...) I now know that I don't need a pole barn, hopefully no manpons, softball is full of drama, some players are viewed as princesses by other princesses' parents and to never turn down a free hoodie...quite a day in the "bucket." I wonder what tomorrow will bring...
