12U HOF Qualifier - biggest surprises

by txballclub » Tue May 27, 2008 8:22 am

Kaos was a big surprise to me. No one has been talking about them and then they showed up and did great. Where have they been playing?

Deer Park TPS may have split up the begginning of this year or last fall but they sure have rebuilt a strong team.

B.B. (Rhine) - this team fought hard all weekend and ended up tied for 5th - GREAT JOB

Kaos is well coached (former NFL and Rice standout, Bert Emanuel is the coach) those of us from Houston were not surprised.

A little suprised that 3 of top 4 were from Houston, Velocity and TPS are solid teams and are considered the top in Houston at 12U, Kaos has to get some love as well.

Kaos are no surprise to us folks in Houston. They have a great team and are full of energy.Great showing Kaos!!

Biggest surprise to me was the Spring Sting from the south and the Texas Travelers from the north not making it to the finals.??? The Sting are a strong team, dont no much about the TT.

BB (Rhine) another surprise (never heard of them) showing.Great job to their players and coaches!!
Tps-Not surprised, great pitching and one of my picks to do well.Congradulations!!
Not surprised----- That the Kruzers took it all, going undefeated and winning the HOF Championship!!! They can play! Congradulations to the Kruzers. Texas well be well represented
With The Kruzers,TPS and Kaos representing them. Good luck to you all

Based on the threads leading up to the tournament, the biggest surprise by far was that Glory and Travelers didn't obliterate the field.

Great to learn the field is a bit wide open.
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

I was sad to see the Travelers not make it to the top three but they will be back in full force to win their berth to nationals.

Ok, so I was at the 14U tournament and saw some great ball being played but I don't know much about the 12U.

I saw some surprises like B.B. (Rhine) stepping up and the Travelers not placing. Some obvious not so surprises like the Kruzers winning it all and south Texas pulling out some big ones to take 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Since everyone in 12U seems quite, I will ask "Can someone please give a run down of how the tournament went?"

Can't get much info because most of the North teams that are on this board got sent home packing early. You think the TT's hung around to watch their buddies the Kruzers win AGAIN??!?!?!?!

Nothing was tooo surprising here. H-Town stepped it up......thank goodness the Kruzers held face for the North. Blaze got stuck on the wrong end of playing the Kruzers first......to much to get back in the money. Thought Spring Sting and Cleats would have done better.....but.....that's why they play the games.

Good Job to All!!!
