ASA budget is a joke anyway. Have you seen the example they hand out at the coach/manager's meeting. Very basic and really nothing in it. Funny part is it takes all of 2 minutes to do and does not have to be accurate. As a matter of fact, they even insinuate that most are just made up anyway. Stupid for ASA to even require it. The good part is ASA never enforces the budget rule anyway. Even when brought to their attention by many different folks. Kinda like the contracts, not worth the paper they are written on.

Bottom line: You like a team or coach, you stay. You don't, you leave. The teams tells you what they charge. If you agree, cool. If not, go somewhere else.
To each their own.

That's because it's almost impossible to plan out a season with any degree of accuracy or specificity in advance. Opportunities (for tournaments, friendlies, clinics, etc.) arise, the team progresses at an unpredictable pace (requiring a different balance of competition vs. practice), equipment breaks down, you carry more or less players than anticipated, fundraisers are more or less successful than expected...the list of variables is virtually endless.

A manager needs to be able to adapt to evolving circumstances. A binding budget would not merely be pointless...it would be detrimental.

I get it now. Ben wants an answer to his question as stated many times in this post. I'll give him the answer he is looking for. I do not provide a budget because I steal money from the girls. :o
Obviously I do not but that is the answer he wants to hear. Hopefully Ben has been satisfied with the answer he was looking for the entire time and we can all move on and enjoy our daughters accomplishments on the field.

It's not binding silly skarp, if it varies more than 10% the manager just produces a new one, it's in the rules. Your panties must be binding, since they seem to be cutting off the oxygen supply to your brain.

Which means producing the first one was entirely pointless, and producing the next one is entirely pointless, because it can simply be changed again. They have zero predictive value to anyone, which is the whole purpose of a budget. Yet, according to you, the manager should have to prepare a bunch of idiotic paperwork on an ongoing basis--even though you can't explain why anyone would ever need to see it. You really are a dunce.

Btw, "it's in the ASA rules" guarantees that I haven't read it. As a general rule, I try to avoid nonsensical gibberish. I've made an exception in your case though. Say thank you.

Not entirely pointless at all. You obviously have never run a business. The only professionals you hang around with, you gotta pay by the hour!

Typical, fails to read or understand, yet yaks, yaks, yaks. Get off the keyboard and onto a treadmill tubby.   It'll get your heart rate higher, via exercise, not getting torqued at anon posters.

Skarp, hard at work.

You now bore me skarp. Unlike you, I can refrain from posting. I am done with this thread. Your manic need for the last word gives a good indication of your severely flawed personality. Please, do get on that treadmill, your DD will be a bit less embarrassed by you.
