I the TI with Masters or without?...I know she is playing with her local Little league All star team in Carthage this week..I'm guessing without.

If we're talking the new season 2010-2011, most of the teams priorly mentioned are moving up to 14u. The "A" teams such as Dreams 97, Diamond Chix, Blast 97', etc are no longer age eligible for 12u. Even the talked about Explosion 97, Twisters, Team Indiana Minton all will be 14u. The Hoosier Crush were pretty dominant as well, but also are moving up.
My opinion for the new season:
Crownpoint Bulldogs, and Team Indiana 98/Eckl, and Edge 98

Crownpoint Bulldogs won the NSA 'B' Northern Nationals and will be one to watch.
Edge 98 often placed higher than Edge 97 last season, if my memory serves me correctly.
Team Indiana Eckl consistently ranked 2nd to older 12u teams last season and will be the older 12u this year.
All three teams will be solid and the ones to beat in any 12u tournament.

Diamond Chix, Explosion, and Blast will have 12u teams, as well, and shouldn't be counted out!

Hey afastpitchfanatic,

The original topic by softball_rules5 was started Mar 17, 2010. The discussion so far has been about the "Best 12U's 2009/2010 season."
But since you brought up the 2010/2011, Let the early discussion begin. We will have 8 months to debate it untill the outdoor 2011 season begins.
I do agree the CP'98 will be the team to beat if they return their core players.
TI'/eckl and Edge'98 will also be good but how could you mention these teams as being the teams to beat without mentioning Indiana Xtreme 98?

To everyone,
am I missing any other top-tier '98 teams?
How about the elite '99's?

When I posted, I expected that I might get a reply like that. By no means, would I intentionally slight anyone. I support all of our daughters and their teams. I'm just not as familiar with the Extreme 98 as I am with the aforementioned teams. No insult to any team was intended. I just don't feel comfortable commenting on a team I know little about. The better the competition, the better the games will be, which betters all of our daughter's development. I'm looking forward to an exciting 2010-2011 season with ALL teams. :P

Maybe Chaos 98 of Lafayette, Brownsburg Bombers, start up Team Indiana Ryan, 98 Gators, start up 98 Shockwaves, 12u Chaos of Frankfort, 12u Hoosier Crush, Stealth, Sting, HSE Cats, 12u Twisters, Indiana Magic, Dark Angels, Edgewood Bulldogs, 12u Lady Dreamz, Avon Attack, start up Brownsburg Blast, Xplosion, etc etc etc will be the big dogs. (there are so many to list) It's all subjective.
I'm human and no matter what I post, I'm sure someone out there will find a way to criticize me. It's all good....and the nature of this forum. :D

:!: Best wishes and goodluck to EVERYONE :!:

My question was how can you mention those 3 teams without mentioning Indiana Xtreme'98?
You could have replied that, u arent familiar with the Indiana Xtreme. Are they good? Thanks for bringing them to my attention.

I can see how you wouldn't want to comment on a team that you know little about. I was merely trying to provide the forum an additional good 12U team for you to add to your list.
I did not reply to your post because I thought you were insulting Indiana Xtreme'98. I just wandered if you didn't think they were a top-tier team.

Also, I am glad to here that you are human, but I am still wandering who criticized you. Peace, love and joy.
Lastly, I totally agree with you when you say, "It's all good....and the nature of this forum. :D

:D

I would love to more about the Extreme 98! Because of our conversation, I'll pay much better attention to you when we play this year. Until then,
Details, Details! Tell me more about them....here or in message...I LOVE learning about all the teams!
Where are you based out of?? Anything else you're willing to share would be great!

Any other parents care to share about their team or have scoop on someone else's?? I'll start a new thread and maybe we can get something going. :D

Two cents, if CP Bulldogs are able to keep it together they are by far the best 12U in Indiana for next season! For my money I will put Extreme in the two hole. With solid additions from the Blast 98 team that fell apart they should improve on an already good team. The Edge will be strong also, but I don't know if they picked anyone up, or stayed with the group they had. I know very little of the TI team! Either way, good luck to all Indiana teams!

So what’s the consensus for 2011 – 12u’s.

I saw the CP Bulldogs took 3rd in Kankakee which was a shocker. Were they missing players?

What about the rest of the teams?

Interesting this would start this soon as the fall is still fresh. Some observations, 12u seems to be VERY watered down, especially around the Indy area. Really seems to be a lot of teams that just "popped" up this year. Have also heard in the past few weeks that some teams may be blowing up. Have heard there are some big name teams that may be disbanding. Anyone know any truth to these rumors? Wonder who will be the teams of the future to replace the always good Dreams, Shockwaves, and Chix that will be the big name exposure teams of the 14's when they move up. Anybody got any thoughts or news?
